If you were to order from the US, you would have two very large additional costs: Import taxes and shipping. International shipping, even of small items, can be huge.
For reference, I live in Finland. I just checked on Amazon and this GTX 1070 has an estimated shipping & imports of 152$, totalling 652$, or 554€. I could buy the same card from a retailer for 520€. I checked another, cheaper GTX 1070 (Gigabyte G1 Gaming) and that came out about 20€ cheaper than buying locally.
Was just looking to make sure the price I mentioned was accurate.
Still $386 at Amazon... if you dont mind filling out a $20 rebate.
Buying from Amazon though... you know they will have your back if anything goes wrong.
I bought an EVGA 1070 FTW from them back in mid august and they offered me a full refund when I contacted them a few days ago about this fiasco. That, is good customer service since I was out of the 30 day refund window.
I wonder how many order they have taken since it went live this week? Curious if any of them are going to be fulfilled. The MSI GTX 1070 is still on backorder on amazon:
> you would save around $170AU by ordering an EVGA one from Amazon
That's a hot tip. ~~It looks like you can get the MSI 1070 from Amazon too, though.~~ No you can't, I just misread the amazon page. It also looks like the EVGA one doesn't ship to Australia?
What's the downside? Can you RMA locally to MSI, or do you have to send it back to Amazon in the US?
Ooookay. Xbox one x is not 600$. 340 $ on Amazon at the moment. (Although it is discounted from 500) Almost the same price as a GTX 1070 is which is also 320 $ on amazon.

I mean lets play a game. Link me a full config capable to maintain 30 fps on 4k resolution with Red Dead 2, which would cost me maximum 500.
Although these are hard to grab because of stock shortages, when they are in stock they sell at $450 new from your Amazon link. You may consider lowering your asking price a bit to gain more interest in it.
If you're getting an MSI GTX 1070, I'd go with the Gaming X 1070, which is only about $10 more and has much better cooling.
Also, that monitor doesn't have displayport as an input, so the only way to get 144fps would be using DVI.
my budget is 450$ but it would be great if it would be cheaper, y'know? i mean...isn't overclocking gives 10fps more maximum? (depends on the game obvs but still) some friends told me the asus strix comes pre-overclocked or factory clocked i found this https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GAMING-GTX-1070-8G/dp/B01GXOX3SW/ref=sr_1_5?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1472648903&sr=1-5&keywords=gtx+1070
There's not a ton of difference between brands. MSI, Gigabyte, ASUS, and EVGA are generally considered the best, but I've been running a Zotac 970 with no issues. This MSI card has good reviews, but really just get the cheapest one that is not the founder's edition.
Stock is still low so the prices are bouncing a lot, but basically any 1070 that isn't the founders edition will work. This was at $450 earlier but not sure if it's still in stock: https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GeForce-GTX-1070-GAMING/dp/B01GXOX3SW/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1467731395&sr=1-1&keywords=gtx+1070
I see on your list you have listed the GTX1070 founders edition. Amazon has the MSI Gaming X 8 which is the best non-watercooled 1070 MSI makes for the same $449 price. The Gaming X 8 version comes with a custom PCB, additional power connector, backplate, and MSI's custom cooler.
I use Blender which is a free and open sources software. This is the graphics card that my laptop uses and it works really well for me. But you don't need a heavy duty computer for it (although it certainly helps). There are 2 types of render engines that are in it and one of them renders almost instantly unless you go crazy with it but the other render engine is much slower and intensive but the lighting is much better. You can still make the less intensive engine have good lighting though. Here's one where I used that super quick renderer
MSI GTX 1070 is $430 AR @ Amazon plus you get a free copy of Gears of War 4
i7 6700K is $300 @ Monoprice through their Ebay store
X400 1TB SSD is $252 @ Platinum Micro's Ebay Store
You will need to install a mobo speaker and listen for beeps to diagnose the failure to POST.
Since the computer is turning off and on I would consider clearing CMOS
And trying this no POST check list.
When you power on do the GPU's fans spin?
Hello!
I have a MSI GTX 1070 I am looking to get rid of. I can definitely beat the price of that Staples one for ya.
The card is the same as the one linked here: https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GTX-1070-GAMING-8G/dp/B01GXOX3SW
Anybody know what the MSRP for these were on release?
not a deal. same price on amazon. no rebate needed.
Thinking about getting this beast: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GXOX3SW/ref=twister_B01J1YUH3U?_encoding=UTF8&th=1
Can't seem to find the Radeon RX 580 8GB NITRO+ Video Card anywhere.
Edit: Maybe here: http://www.nextwarehouse.com/item/?2684878_g10e
Am I missing something? Is this not the same GPU for $260 cheaper?
First PC buyer here:
Trying to decide between this card, and other 1070s and I know little to nothing about the manufacturers. How well does this stack up to these cards:
MSI GAMING GeForce GTX 1070 8GB for $429.99
EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING for $407.99
Any help much appreciated.
Edit: format
Going for $415 on Amazon
This reasonable?
https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GAMING-GTX-1070-8G/dp/B01GXOX3SW
this 1070 is cheaper than that 960.
Get an MSI 1070 8gb https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01GXOX3SW/?tag=pcp0f-20
I'm using this card I don't -think- it came with a program but I could double check.
Can i ask you for a gpu? Wanted a gtx 1070
It's very costly in India. Not affordable by me.
https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GAMING-GTX-1070-8G/dp/B01GXOX3SW
$405
Thanks a lot op!!!!!
Damn, if only they were still in stock.. I'm thinking of just getting the EVGA 1070 Hybrid, MSI MSIGaming X , or the Zotac 1070. I'm thinking that $80 for a Liquid Cooled, slightly-higher clock speed might be worth it.
Any thoughts?
I think it's the Gaming X. If you pick this one, make sure to take a picture and tell me how it is. I really want a 1070 but can't afford one yet.
Buy it from Amazon mate, the only risk is DOA which will cost you the shipping back to Amazon.

I think the shops in dubai are a 10% less than Gear-up
Edit: the Amazon link ships to dubai directly from Amazon.
Thanks again for the help but the price is higher than you quoted:
The 6Gig version isn't out until August 18th at least, on Amazon.
Does anyone have experience buying a GPU from Amazon US? Depending on how much we actually have to pay in import fees, it might end up being cheaper than the CAD prices.
Been wanting to get myself a GTX 1070. But even the prices in US are on the higher side. Probably due to the low supply right now.
According to Nvidia India, there are a lot of middle men involved in getting the 1070's and 1080's to this region. Hence the higher pricing here.
Dealers in SP Road says that third party cards would be coming out by July end. Don't expect anything below 40k for now.
Edit: Turns out the MSI GTX1070 Gaming X 8G and ZOTAC versions are out here.
Amazon (MSI): INR 46,999

Are 1070s better than the 980 Ti? if so, how do they compare? Would this be a giid substitute?
Alright, thanks I think I'll go with the i5 then. Any thoughts on using this for a video card
Here you go:(amazon.com/gp/product/B01GXOX3SW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) Comes out to about 660 dollarydoos if you pick standard shipping, and apparently stock will be in around the 25th :)
