I have been using this monitor for about a year now and love it. I think the ultra wide is a bigger improvement over it being curved though. The curve does compliment the ultra wide aspect ratio however.

Not 4K but still pretty damn impressive
I don’t honestly know what the curvature is but here is the Amazon page I got them from. Va is really good in its own way, the blacks are just way better but theres a bit of ghosting(not too noticeable even on cheap panels) they both have pretty good colors
One monitor that is cheap and well reviewed is the msi optix
Glad it could be of help.
When I got the GN34CW two years ago, it was a bit too good to be true because any top brand spec comparable display was $500 and over. I wasn't disappointed and I still feel a bit bad replacing a perfectly good monitor. It all goes away once I turn on the G9 :D
Point is, it's still a very good value and quality is still the same after two years but now there's comparable displays at same price like this MSI one for 10 dollars more :)
About the G9, what I was more excited about was the bigger curvature, length and HDR but it also cost 3 times more (4-5 times more if paying new retail)
I've been looking at this MSI optix MAG341CQ)
It's 1440p, 100hz, 34in, freesync, and is VA panel. And it's only $400 at a microcenter or $480 on Amazon.

Msi MAG341CQ 34" curved monitor brand new from amazon with prime shipping for 479$(some under other sellers for 450$) not sure if no warranty is worth tax to potential buyers but I think you might have this priced too high man
This MSI is a mixture of all three of the monitors you listed, it has the high resolution of the first with the ultrawide ratio of the other two, the only drawback is the lower refresh rate of 100hz rather than 144hz.
If you like ultrawide here's one 34' 1440 p 100hz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G5FCR6X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_W8Q6908BYDPT8T3688X3 And here's a 32' normal one 1440p 165 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088P87LHX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_4R7KNF38X2MMRQ1CBZJE You could find cheaper ones I just sent the models I've used before
Yeah, 4K at 144Hz you would be looking at a pretty high sticker price. To be fair though, even with my monitor (https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07G5FCR6X) you should have at least a 2080S or better.

Those are the monitors. They are 34" ultrawide's. Thanks!

The desk measures 86"L x 26" deep. The orginal desk was 63"L. I didn't change the depth on the desk but I put a 10 degree curve on both sides with the insert I made. This has pushed the monitors back from my eyes by about 6" which helps a ton when you have 3 massive monitors like this.
I had to put my tower on the shelf on the wall because I wanted it to be seen and there is no room on my desk as you can see. The only other option I found for a stand up desk was a mount on the legs under the desk. I put to much time into building my pc to stuff under my desk, lol.
And thank you!

Respectfully this has absolutely nothing to do with building PCs.
But for under $500 Canadian my recommendations would be:
This is clearer and squarer, not ultrawide:

The top one is super old, probably around 10 years. I should have my 4k monitor be the one on top but the asus views like crap vertical because of its age.
The dell is incredibly nice, but has low hz like 75. The MSI is a budget ultrawide that can be overclocked to 115hz. There are better options out there at the price point of the MSI. I know Viotek offers a 34" ultrawide with 144hz at around the same price.
I'm in the same boat as you: browsing Black Friday deals looking for an ultrawide for near $500. I just made a post on this sub, and these are the ones I'm looking at from my post:
-====-
MSI Optix MAG341CQ for $380 which seems like a solid choice if not a bit simple.
Nixeus NX-EDG34S for $420. This one is on sale for $180 off and is 144Hz
Acer Nitro XZ342CK for $500. While it's not on sale, it looks like a solid 144Hz monitor with lots of reviews
SAMSUNG LC34J791WTNXZA for $550. This one is a good sale. It comes with extra feature like usb-c and is QLED. I don't even know if QLED is worth it though.
-====-
I haven't decided on one yet, but I at least hope this can give you some more options.
Best Budget quality Ultrawide Curved (Sadly a tad out of your budget worth it)

I'm looking for the same thing, an afordable 34inch, 1440 - not for gaming
Got my eyes on : (THey are on amazon co uk )
Check all the amazon sites.. on some you find it cheaper.
Samsung LC34F791WQUXEN
ASUS ROG STRIX Curved XG35VQ

One thing to consider is that 3440x1440 is pretty demanding and requires a lot more GPU power to run than something like 1080p. Minecraft and CSGO and such should be fine but if you have ambitions of playing anything more demanding than that, budget hardware won't really cut it. Even overwatch which is very very optimized (going for more sylized graphics than realism) requires me to turn down some settings to hit 100hz on my wife's computer with a 1660ti on a 1440p monitor. My computer has a 1080ti which is really only one step down from the best card on the market, and there's plenty of games that I can't hit 100hz, let alone 144hz.
for finding monitors, pcpartpicker.com is a godsend. just filter the resolution to 3440x1440 and 100hz+. I hear good things about this one for a budget model.
I'm going to make up some arbitrary numbers for performance and pricing just for sake of example. Your scenarios are probably going to look like this:
Without a crystal ball, I can't really say how much cheaper getting the old gen in a couple months will be, but based off what I've noticed historically I can say pretty easily that it'll be much more than $30 or $40. If you built right now, you would probably be very happy with your PC, however the general wisdom is to build for what you'll be playing over the next couple years, not just what you plan to play now. While being able to sell parts to recoup some cost when you upgrade is a huge advantage of building your own pc, the parts lose resale value once a new gen comes out. I would hate for you to want an upgrade early next year but get less resale than you'd like for your older gen parts. Just for example, the 1080ti I have was an $800 card when it launched and I bought it used for $400 once the 20 series came out. So yeah TLDR I'd recommend waiting so you'll get more bang for buck, but a PC right now would be just fine.
If you decide to wait, you can buy RAM, storage, windows, monitor, mouse/kb, case, headphones/speakers, and power supply whenever you want. those won't be outdated and most cases have plenty of clearance for graphics cards. Keep an eye on /r/buildapcsales for good deals over the coming weeks.

Here is an amazon link to it as well. It's cheaper at MC though.
>Msi optic ag34cq
He probably means this one: https://www.amazon.com/MSI-Non-Glare-UltraWide-21-Resolution/dp/B07G5FCR6X/ which is only 100Hz and no HDR support...
Hello, I am in the same boat as you.

I want to game at 1440p 60-144fps. I have linked to a couple of my builds below. Let me know what you think.

2600-2080
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8w6CnH
I think this build is best for 1440 60-144fps. Just my thoughts.

If you want it as cheap as you can get it, take a look at https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YPdpYT
This is as cheap as I can get this config.**without it looking like complete trash on the inside lol**

There is also this one https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tnZsFt
This is a 2080ti build. It is a lot more. Just something that I keep going back and forth on myself.

Here are the monitors that I have found in my search:

MSI Optix MAG341CQ

MSI Optix MPG27CQ

ROG Strix XG32VQ

Aorus AD27QD

Just some monitors to look over. All are 1440p 100-144fps. Let me know if you find anything as I am looking as well!
I should start building in the next two weeks.
I'm very happy with this one which comes in way below your budget.
https://www.amazon.com/MSI-Non-Glare-UltraWide-21-Resolution/dp/B07G5FCR6X
Adaptive sync works, monitor looks great, no problems at all.
The only downside for me was that I was coming from a 1440p 144hz monitor and I miss the higher refresh. Still, 100hz is not bad especially for the price.
