That's one of my favorite tracks of his too and I definitely know the vibe you mean. If you've been listening to him for so long I'm sure you've heard the albums In the Wee Small Hours and A Man Alone which are also melancholy but more sappy in general I guess. You might also like The Great Summit by Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong. I think you'd also like some Tom Waits, try the tracks "Please Call Me, Baby" "I Hope I Don't Fall in Love With You", "Time", "Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis", "Picture in a Frame", and "How's it Gonna End". Some blues would also fit, maybe some BB King ("Nightlife", "Blues man") or Muddy Waters ("Soon Forgotten", "She's 19 Years Old", "Country Boy", just get this album http://www.amazon.com/Muddy-Mississippi-Waters-Live/dp/B00138JA40/ref=tmm_msc_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=)
