We confined our pup to a small room with a cheap ($30 from Amazon) camera for the first couple months. Of course she came out, but she slept in there with a pee pad available. During the day she was out with us. Literally, the dog has had two accidents since. We phased out pee pads over the first year, but she will use them in a pinch now too which has been great given our crazy weather.
I suggest having a can of wet food available. Don't over do it, but a teaspoon mixed into the dry food can help get puppy to eat. Don't hesitate to do training classes. We loved doing ours. Have a vet lined up. There is typically an 8 week (usually the breeder does this one), 12 week, and 16 week check-up/vaccination schedule.
It is a very high energy breed. It will need its body and mind stimulated. Lots of training. Lots of play and exercise. Tired dogs are well-behaved dogs. However, don't over-exercise a pup. Wait until 16 weeks (all vaccines) to walk outside the home.
