So I used a spray that says only use on reptiles for legal reasons but the ingredients are practically non toxic unless you soak the most in the stuff, it is this https://www.amazon.com/DeFlea-Reptile-Mite-Spray-8-Ounce/dp/B0002QIII8/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?adgrpid=56343209739&gclid=Cj0KCQjwyt-ZBhCNARIsAKH1174Del_tuBwZAqDvh4A1-Y9mtLsFyq3fF41HiQ9GuEcoNUo9yCfB7gUaAkIIEALw_wcB&hvadid=617073236806&hvdev=m&am...
So here was my idea and you can tell me if it's good or not or if it's too much. I planned on getting Deflea Reptile Mite Spray. Whatever day I have all the supplies I plan on removing all the bedding and Decor items and wash and scrub the tank with water and vinegar, let that dry some and rinse the tank out And dry it.
Then I'll start putting the bedding in and spraying it with deflea stuff kind of layering it as I fill the tank. Then spraying the decor items and wood with it then the rest of the tank. Let that dry for a bit and then wipe the the tank with paper towels.
Then use some zoo med wipe out to further disinfect the bedding and items and tank. Once that all dry and wipe out I'll spray my blue tongue with the deflea stuff to kill the mites on him. Don't know how I'll do the head since I don't want it in his eyes.
Then after a few days just spray him and the tank down with the deflea stuff again.
Does that sound good? Here a link to the spray: http://www.amazon.com/DeFlea-Reptile-Mite-Spray-8-Ounce/dp/B0002QIII8/ref=pd_sim_199_5?ie=UTF8&refRID=0DXBVVVP5S2DFQKYP5AW

Yeah it’s possible it could’ve come from anywhere, like you went to a pet store and something there had mites and you transferred it to her. Or she always had mites and you just found them recently. It’s always a mystery but the good news is you can fix it! There’s a spray called reptile spray and what you need to do is remove ur snake from the cage, take every bit of substrate out, take any porous hides or water dishes out. Then scrub the bottom with the reptile spray, and scrub any hides or decor you can with the spray. If possible you should purchase some smooth hides that are not porous and use those Bc the mites can get into any nook n cranny. Then once you’ve cleaned all of those you should apply the reptile spray directly only the snake. Do this and rub the snake up and down and the spray WILL kill the mites on contact. If you feel it necessary you can also give the snake a bath by putting it in a tub with lukewarm water and closing the lid (making sure there are breathing holes obviously) for about 15 minutes. This will also suffocate any and all mites. Now this is the end of the process however you must repeat it every day until you notice there are no more mites left. I got rid of mine in 3 days. OH ALSO: use paper towel as a substrate for now because it makes it a lot easier to see mites and such. You don’t need to use it permanently but just until you’ve determined that you can go back to normal. Let me know if you have anymore questions! here’s a link for a full video if you couldn’t picture doing it from me saying it.
