Yours is a larger, and would be better for floor/wheel'd mount...

Current internet service is 400MB/s Down, 20MB/s Up. 1 Gig is available, but at twice the cost in my area. I think 400MB/s is fine for now. We -119db of LTE which is too unreliable of cell service for working from home, so trying to get better wifi so we can roam the property and keep wifi calls connected. With all the wifi devices connected to my old wifi router and repeaters it was a nightmare with teleconference calls dropping and wifi phone calls dropping.

My goals are as follows:

1. We want Wifi coverage for 100% of inside of the house and ~50% of 5 acres where we have mowable yard.
2. Future: replace several wyze cams with unifi protect POE cameras on the UDM-Pro DVR to be able to see the driveway, dogs anywhere in the fenced in yard, chicken coop, goat shed, etc.
3. Future: add a NAS (maybe a 1U synology to cram in the extra slot in the 6U rack?)

Indoor Rack: <-- Completed!!!

• (4) UAP-AC-IW for the interior are installed in (4) pre existing RJ45 wall jacks on Cat5 pre-molded patch run though the wall.

Outdoor: <-- No Done

• Unifi 8 port POE switch (150W) Gen I
• I need to run ~250ft of 3/4" conduit from the house to the barn to pull CAT6 direct burial shielded cable (I am not using fiber because of the extra cost and because I only have 400MB/s. Conduit will allow me to pull new cable in the future.)
• (2) UAP-AC-M outdoor APs for the front and back yard - need to run new cat 6 lines from the switches to mount these
• (1) UAP-AC-PRO for inside the barn located ceiling ~100 ft away from the house

Lessons Learned:

1. Wifi repeaters don't work very well. Connecting a repeater to a repeater to extend range really didn't work well. Unifi meshed network with fast roaming is exactly what I needed!
2. I was without internet for several hours trying to figure out how to set up the UMD-Pro. Since our cell phone service is so bad I couldn't watch tutorials and had issue getting the UMD pro set up initially due to my lack of experience. IP address, yeah I know what that is, but Sub net masks, dchp, static vs dynamic IPs?! I got real confused for a second, but figured it out. Probably need to change the UDM Pro IP address form the default too for security. Not yet done.
3. My cables in my wall are Cat 5, not CAT 5e. I tried to pull everyone, but with the length of run and all the sharp corners and holes in 2X4s they wouldn't budge and I didn't want to over strain them. So CAT5 will have to be good enough for now.
4. The in wall CAT5 cables were patch cables with molded RJ45s with one end cut off and terminated to a tombstone in the wall. Since the cable jacket said 568A, I assumed I needed to wire the rj45 connector to replace the tombstone as 568A, which turns out was wrong. So one end id 568B and one end is 568A now. Somehow the IW APs work this way! but at only 60MB/s speed test. I need to re crimp RJ45 connectors and fix the twisted pair pattern to be T568B on both ends. Oops!
5. The 120VAC cooling fan is a little loud, but okay for now since the rack is in a closet and I can close the door.
