You said your monitor is 4.5kg which falls comfortably within their specifications. If you are 100% sure the torque screw isn't working then reach out to the manufacturer. Either you are doing it wrong or the product has a defect.

I don't recommend anyone get this types of desk mounts, please get one that similar to this one. Not necessarily this brand but I have that one and had a dual monitor mount like the one posted and it was a bad experience

I had a similar one from amazon. I don't recommend these types of mounts at all, they're unstable and don't offer a lot of room to move screens

Characteristics you need to check are mostly maximum weight, width and extension, so that your monitors fit in.

Got it, found it on Amazon.com as well. I'll just need to measure the max extension compared to the one I currently have to confirm it will actually give me the extension I need.

I don't think I'll mount them on top of each other, my neck will strain too much.

I believe the Amazon Basics version is a stripped down ErgoTron LX, so it should be a VERY good arm. I bought some monitor mounting plates from Amazon recently and they were indeed rebranded ErgoTron hardware. If it's ErgoTron, it will last a lifetime, I just pulled out my LX arms from 15 years ago to set my wife up for home office. Works like brand new... holds about 50% - 100% more weight than rated too unlike cheaper mounts.

but in all seriousness, custom keyboards can be super expensive (mine is considered mid-range within the hobby). grand total was around $600USD which includes the board, keycaps, and switches. can get into more detail if you wish but that price tag is (rightfully) enough to deter most people lol. you can still build great customs in the ~$100-$250USD range, however, there's never been a better time for entry-level customs than now.

i unfortunately don't have the exact desk model, just grabbed a sturdy white desk i saw off Facebook Marketplace for $70 which was lowkey a steal for how well built it was.

the dual monitor arm i have is this (but similar should work), the monitors themselves can be to your choosing
