The real kicker is I have a monitor mount I picked up off of amazon for that exact reason....it has been sitting in my office for a few weeks unopened.
For anyone interested in this arm, here's the Amazon link. The base spins nearly 360º, it raises and lowers perfectly (even though the DN is lighter than 4.4lbs), and it tilts/rotates. Easy to hand tighten to a table, or move to a new location. Seriously a game changer. I'm not endorsing this product, but I really like it, and thought i'd share. I'm contemplating a dual vesa mount for my desktop monitor and push 2. Seriously, all gear should be compatible with a vesa mount.
I would highly recommend buying a floating monitor arm that can clamp onto the desk if your monitors have the back fittings for it (be sure to check before buying). It saves so much desk space and is much easier to orient the monitor. They're fairly affordable as well.
I originally bought one for my main monitor, then quickly bought a second one because of how much space I got and how easy they are to move around. Plus you get to feel like...I dunno...some sort of advanced technological badass.
Product would be something like this

You ever bang your keyboard against that monitor stand? I have a similar LG and the best thing I ever did was get a desk mount. I hate LGs stand design.
here u go, just make sure your monitor is compatible (90% are) NB North Bayou Monitor Desk Mount Stand Full Motion Swivel Monitor Arm with Gas Spring for 17-30''Monitors(Within 4.4lbs to 19.8lbs) Computer Monitor Stand F80 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AI2YGK4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_C2C15BFG9R2AX9HSW54T?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I really like gas spring ones since they're super easy to adjust.

edit: oh, this is the same one I have, lol

It's $27.90 on Amazon US right now!
Glad I could help! For reference's sake, the Z35P is on an Ergotron LX mount, and the other monitor is a Sceptre u275w-4000r on a mount I got from amazon (also, this mount does NOT swivel 360* on the lower portion, but it's a decent buy for $30)
I just bought 2 single-monitor arms for $20 each and they look very similar to the make that you got. Having them separate may give you more flexibility and would save you $6. Amazon will most likely take back yours at no charge.
Here is what I got: North Bayou Monitor Desk Mount Stand...
Thanks! The monitor is an old-er Benq XL2420Z (I don’t think you can buy them new anymore but it’s pretty much the same as the XL2411 that they sell) and the monitor arm is this one from amazon
I agree with u/Unique_Quail607 , just get a desk mounted monitor arm and it should solve your problem.
Example,
Just sharing this in case anyone was doing research as I wasn't able to find much on it but I recently upgraded my GT Omega Apex to have a rear seat frame. As you can see in the pic I attached an NRG bucket seat with seat sliders on it.
i normally play by wheeling this rig to my desk but I had a problem where my monitor was never close enough as the desk was in the way.
to resolve the issue I used an old Monitor arm I had laying around and attached it to another old 34 inch monitor I had and mounted it directly on the horizontal base of the omega wheelstand.
so far its been working great!

here's a link to the monitor arm i'm using:
Which monitor do you have? Does it have the VESA standard to fit an arm to? Where would the monitor arm attach to (your desk or screwed into a wall)?
Would something like https://www.amazon.com/North-Bayou-Monitor-Computer-14-3lbs/dp/B01AI2YGK4 do what you need (if your monitor is VESA compatible and you are desk mounting)?
The next thing you should do (aside from replacing the chair!) would be to get yourself a monitor arm. You can pick up one of the cheapest on Amazon that will let you move it around to a better position when racing. I don't personally use it, however I have a solid fixed arm, I would have picked this one up before the one I currently use.
There's a few. This is what I have: https://www.amazon.ca/North-Bayou-Monitor-Motion-14-3lbs/dp/B01AI2YGK4/ref=sr_1_6?crid=1ATA0ABMONJLI&keywords=monitor+arm&qid=1663946446&sprefix=monitor+arm%2Caps%2C133&sr=8-6
You just have to wait on a good sale. I haven't seen them below 25 in a while though.
Drill a hole using a hole saw. Yeah that's what it's called. Then do the through the table mount. Those hole saws aren't expensive and most ppl have power drills. But if you don't I dunno, maybe find a mount with a vice clamp.
I bought one on Sunday from Amazon with a big vice clamp.
NB North Bayou Monitor Desk Mount... https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01AI2YGK4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It may work?
Does the work/school work you do benefit from having extra vertical space? It's pretty much personal preference. If you think it will help you when viewing documents or writing, then go for it.
In my experience, it's based solely on the above - what fits your use case. My work is more conducive to larger horizontal monitors (I mainly work with spreadsheets), so my office setup is two horizontal monitors. I do have a triple monitor setup at home, with one vertical - and in my use case there (viewing web pages), it is much more useful to have a vertical monitor as the information I want to view is mainly vertical.
That Ergotron mount is very expensive. Unless you have an unlimited budget, or need to have the best, you can get a mount off Amazon for a fraction of the price that will do essentially the same thing. You could just get a gas pressure spring arm at Amazon for like this one for $30 - I have it; works well enough.
2 of these, trust me. I've gone through the whole dual monitor mount with an ultrawide and not only is it wobbly with that much weight but you're very limited where you can put your 24" monitor since the arms are only so long and a 34" ultrawide is really wide
I bought the North Bayou single monitor gas spring mount back in 2018 for my 27" monitor and haven't seen any issues (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AI2YGK4). Worth calling out though is that I've seen similar products on the market and I think they all probably work about the same.
>S2722QC
I was looking at these but got the S2722QS instead. Nearly identical monitors, except a cheaper stand and no USB ports. Unless you have a need for USB on your monitor, since you're already using arms, you can save $50 with the QS instead.
I just bought two of'em as secondary monitors to an LG27950B. Seriously awesome monitors!
I use these arms and you can't get any better for the price.
Here you go
I couldn't say for sure if they're the same, but it wouldn't surprise me (they do look awfully similar). A lot of these brands sell the same products under different names. Apparently Rife is another name some of these are sold under.
Having said that, I have used some Vivo products in the past, and they've all been extremely solid.
You can get similar items for much cheaper these days. I have a couple of these and they're good.
This one?

Thank you so much! The monitor mounts are North Bayou , I got that one because it was cheap and I had to get 3 to distribute the weight of the three monitors.
And after using them myself, they’re incredible and very easy to set up.
also this
Thanks! It's monitor arm + laptop bracket, works pretty nice!
For laptop I'm using cheap monitor arm like this one + laptop bracket;
https://www.amazon.com/North-Bayou-Monitor-Computer-14-3lbs/dp/B01AI2YGK4/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=19TPAQJR1XBZA&dchild=1&keywords=monitor+arm&qid=1635199556&sprefix=monitor+arm%2Caps%2C154&sr=8-3 this kind can be pushed back right to the base. Not a specific recommendation for this one in particular tho
There should be no electronics in the stand, and if you wanted to be sure, you could take the stand off and look. It's usually held on with a few screws on the back, sometimes even a quick-release plate.
But /u/Inside_Term_4115 has the right idea: get a monitor arm. This one might meet your needs, but I'm not endorsing that one specifically as my monitors are all wall-mounted.
I have an inexpensive gas pressure arm I bought from Amazon (this one) that's been working fine for the past year in all positions (high, low, fully extended in some cases).
Which arm do you have and what size/weight monitor do you have mounted?
Also, some arms have tension adjustments - does yours and if so, did you try adjusting?
Well, there are many different types of VESA arms. Ones that wall mount, ones that sit on the desk, ones that clamp on to a desk. Some have fixed arms, some have hydraulic articulating arms, some have different kinds of arms. I was thinking of a desk clamp, articulating arm, like this (I have two of these).
It's a dell P2314h I picked up used. It was mounted on a monitor arm. Link to the latter: https://www.amazon.com/North-Bayou-Monitor-Computer-14-3lbs/dp/B01AI2YGK4/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=north+bayou&qid=1627815396&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyTEQwWlFYR0ZLWUNSJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEw...
An older version of this
NB North Bayou Monitor Desk Mount Stand Full Motion Swivel Monitor Arm with Gas Spring for 17-30''Monitors(Within 4.4lbs to 19.8lbs) Computer Monitor Stand F80 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AI2YGK4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_W7B67C8C6HWZNERY0TMJ
Those freaky monitor stands are very durable and about as secure as you're going to get. Monitor mounds clamp to desks very securely, and the VESA mount in the monitor is not to just plastic, it's to the frame of the monitor (the plastic outer is just an external shroud).
I have 3 kids and they are not gentle with the monitor on an articulating monitor arm (I have this one - it's for their computer). I'm honestly more nervous for the stability/durability of the desk than I am the durability of the monitor mount and monitor. I should mention that the monitor is a touch-screen, so they are constantly pushing it.
It’s this one:

I'm pretty sure it's this arm on amazon and the camera is Logitech C920
yup, the monitor is not heavy so I got literally the cheapest arm I could find on amazon
Funny. For me, I’m looking at getting a swivel monitor arm that allows me to move it out of the way when I am not actively using the monitor. https://www.amazon.com/North-Bayou-Monitor-Computer-14-3lbs/dp/B01AI2YGK4/ref=pd_ybh_a_34?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=XDXSRW60F80WNA0J1D9A
io ne ho presi un paio a braccio singolo di sta marca che sembra il logo New Balance :D avevano un botto di recensioni su amazon e mi sono fidato.. so far so good, li consiglierei ma non ho metro di paragone con altro

I've had this one on my wish list for quite a while now. The only reason I haven't bought them yet is because I currently have a glass desk.
I used to have a VIVO triple stand, which was fine when I was desk racing, but once I got a rig and needed to be able to raise and lower my monitors, it just didn't work anymore. Now I use the stock monitor stands (they're all height adjustable) so when I pull the rig up, I can lower everything easier, then raise them when I need to.
Eventually I want to change things up and get those arms.

I put it on off-center because the desk isn’t that deep and I’m trying to keep the right ergonomic distance. Also, the reviews are true— be careful when you take the Velcro off that thing. It will knock you out if you’re not careful
I bought three of these: https://www.amazon.ca/North-Bayou-Monitor-Motion-14-3lbs/dp/B01AI2YGK4/
They're not the best, but they were 25ish when I bought them.
Compared to a good double or triple, it was way cheaper. The fixed mounts just end up sagging and that annoys me way too much.
I have my monitors on stands like these. They allow me to do that easily.
If the 27 inch monitor is too small for the FOV you want, finding a way to mount it closer to your face is probably the cheapest option for you. I don't know your setup but one of those movable monitor stands can help get the monitor closer if your wheel is in the way. I have my wheel clamped to a desk and this is my issue right now.
I have to admit, size matters, you are going to be straining your neck one way or another, but 16 one has VESA mount, which allows you to mount it on an arm like this.
If i remember correctly, Pro 16 has a bonded screen, which equals to less parallax, some people really look towards that (like me), some don't mind the space between pen and screen being bigger (looks like you hovers bit over the screen surface on normal displays).
If the device is worth extra $200 depends on your specific use case, really.
You should be able to use any Vesa mount Like this one
I have the LG 34um95 and I'm using a Vesa mount with no issues. Keep in mind though the one I linked I have no knowledge or opinions on. I just grabbed a link for the first one I could find on Amazon so I could show you what to look for.
They have Vesa mounts for the wall, desk clamp, and desk stand so it will work for just about any set up.
I'm returning mine. The panel itself is gorgeous.
I tried to use my monitor mount I got on Amazon and it doesn't fit (this thing works perfectly on my two Dells). The small square in the back of the LG is too narrow to accept this mount. I'd have had to shave down the metal mount plate.
So I tried to deal with the stand, but man oh man do I hate it. It doesn't allow the monitor to get low enough to the desk, it felt like I was looking up at (and I'm tall). And it's just ugly and weird.
The power cable with the external brick is too short for cable management on my desk so I had it dangling. Even the display port cable it came with is too short.
Again the panel itself is pretty, but the inability to use my mound and the stand it came with just don't work for me.
It's this one: https://www.amazon.com/North-Bayou-Monitor-Computer-14-3lbs/dp/B01AI2YGK4
Amazon sells an Amazon Basic stand to convert monitor mounts into laptop sends, so I got that as well.
Works fine. Typing on it right now while loading into IB. :)
The laptop is the Razer Blade 14 2017 (Core i7 7700HQ with GTX 1060 6GB). The monitor is a Samsung C24F390. Just a general-purpose monitor with 1080p at 60hz. The stand could be found in this link.
I use these with my 34” ultra wide. Looks like right now there’s a $3 off coupon making these $24.90. As long as the monitor is less than 20lbs not including stand you should be fine.

I use a pair of these and have been really happy with them: https://www.amazon.com/North-Bayou-Monitor-Computer-14-3lbs/dp/B01AI2YGK4/
EDIT: I should add, it does not come with thumbscrews, and I'd HIGHLY recommend buying some. The included screws are regular phillips head screws and it's very hard to use a screwdriver while trying to maneuver your monitor into position on the arm. M4x10mm is the correct size for more desktop VESA mounts
Oh, well then my first response is still applicable. The monitor arms are pretty flexible. Maybe go for two separate articulating arms stands. Like these

I had an arm on the monitor I had prior to purchasing this one and it did not fit on since the mounting points are recessed into the back. Make sure the bracket you're using is squared. Here is the link to the one I had so you can see what I'm talking about, the corner corners aren't squared so it won't fit. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AI2YGK4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_qXatFbRAJYAPD

It says 30 but it holds my 38 like a charm, look more ate the weight limitations. Also fairly cheap
Just to expand your options a bit, but I bought this VESA monitor stand from Amazon. It can give any monitor vertical functionality. I loved it so much I bought another one (the two monitor version).
I would shop for the best IPS monitor that has VESA mounts and spring for one of these.
It's an extremely common design that is slightly differentiated and marked by various different companies.
Here's one on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/North-Bayou-Monitor-Computer-14-3lbs/dp/B01AI2YGK4/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=single+monitor+arm+mount&qid=1596126078&sr=8-6
It was a cheap one off Amazon. It is manufactured by North Bayou.

Cheapest option is probably to buy two of these.

I'm using the Samsung U28E590D displays with some cheap-ass monitor arms I found that are similar to this: https://www.amazon.com/North-Bayou-Monitor-Computer-14-3lbs/dp/B01AI2YGK4
I previously had a three monitor stand, but it was way too wide with the 28" monitors.
I wouldn't even know what manufacturer to go to for a monitor in that price range.....
Jump on Amazon and browse through monitors, until you find one that fits the bill.
I almost think the best option for your need might be to buy the cheapest monitor you can find, maybe used, that has a VESA mount and buying an arm, such as this: <strong>Link</strong>
Myself and two other friends picked up this one from amazon and everybody seems happy, was the cheapest ones we could find that didn't look like crap. I'm sure you can do much better but they get expensive quickly. I have 3 myself one of them mounting a 34" ultrawide without any issues.
Edit: Had them since the beginning of the year, no issues so far
I got this mount on Amazon: North Bayou Monitor Desk Mount Stand Full Motion Swivel Monitor Arm Gas Spring for 17''-27'' Computer Monitor from 4.4lbs to 14.3lbs and can't figure it out. The bracket on the arm is too big. The holes line up but the screw holes are recessed just enough where they don't reach. Is there some sort of fitting that you need to fit it on? Anyone?
I would get this one instead. I'm fairly certain they're all made by the same oem. That should be everything you need.
Have you considered individual arms instead of a triple-stand? You'll have more placement freedom, plus if you have a flimsy desk you won't be putting all the weight on one spot.
I picked up a pair of these just this past week, been pretty impressed for the price so far: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AI2YGK4/
This is the one I have. Supports up to 14.3 lbs - North Bayou Full Motion Desk Mount with Mount and Gas Spring for Computer Monitors 17'' - 27 LED LCD Flat Panel TVs from 4.4lbs upto 14.3lbs F80 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AI2YGK4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_TJKUzbP7Y9JT8
Edit: just saw 10kg, not lbs. Whoops.
I do have to tighten the the screws in the arm all the way though due to the wait of the monitor but it wrks and the monitor does not move unless I move it.
No, they'll plug into your wall(Or surge protector)
They're on sale too, which is a bonus
Also, if you want to do arms, you could do An arm like this
You can get monitor arms that mount to your desk and let you position the monitor wherever you need it to be.
Anyone know if a North Bayou F80 mount can hold a QNIX QX2710, an Acer XG270HU, and an Acer XF270HU? (Not all at once, obviously; just the individual monitors).
I also have this desk. This is my setup at full height:
Monitor Arms: North Bayou Arms
Monitors: Dell U2417H 24" monitors
Keyboard: Ducky One Side Print 100% Keyboard
Mouse: Logitech MX Master (Meteorite)
Mouse Pad:PECHAM Extended Pad
Speakers: Logitech Z313
Chair: Amazon Basic Mid-Back Chair
Lamp: Desk Lamp
Drawers: IKEA Alex
Plants: Random succulents from Trader Joe's
Wallpapers: Studio Ghibli Wallpapers (1920x1080)

Cable Management: involves the cable raceway attached below the desk using Command Strips from Wal-Mart. The cord management sleeves came in 4 pieces and I used that to organize all the wires. I have the speaker remote attached next to the lifting mechanism under the desk which is nice for quick volume control. The sub-woofer is placed on the desktop due my preference of having the fewest number of cables coming down from the desk. The one cord that hangs down is the power strip that runs to the outlet. The power strip is placed within the c-clamp of one of the monitor arms.

Price: I was able to get a lower price in September 2018 at Office Depot using a 20% off coupon that was in general circulation. The final price with taxes and shipping to store was $149.90. But, I would gladly pay the $159.99 listed here.

Overall, I love the desk. In fact, I bought another one for my wife. The ability to switch between standing and sitting with the lifting mechanism is well worth the low price I paid. The setup requires minimal effort to lift - I personally use two hands for stability. I do think that an addition of a computer tower on the desktop will make it difficult, but not impossible, to lift. There is mention of wobbling in one of the review videos on YouTube, but it is barely noticeable on a day to day use. I will say that my only complaint is the desktop is not solid wood and I have experienced a bit of surface lift after a cup with condensation was left on the desktop overnight. I recommend using a coaster if you plan to having drinks on your desk.
For those still looking, this has a limited time deal for $23.71. https://www.amazon.com/North-Bayou-Monitor-Computer-14-3lbs/dp/B01AI2YGK4?ref_=ast_sto_dp
Maybe not super wobbly, but pretty bad as they go. After getting proper monitor arms I can't imagine going back to any provided stand. Adding $30 is about right when not on sale.
This thing will suck. If you want your monitors to even line up a bit, forget it.
https://www.amazon.ca/North-Bayou-Monitor-Motion-14-3lbs/dp/B01AI2YGK4/

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AI2YGK4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_FWV8CHW0BZQ09AM2P6XT
These are also excellent for some extra length
I have most of the same questions. I was looking at the Zenith 30" T frame, with a 60" x 30" laminate top. I will only be mounting 2 x 21" monitors with two of these: https://www.amazon.com/North-Bayou-Monitor-Computer-14-3lbs/dp/B01AI2YGK4.
I'd put the PC under the table..
and hang the monitor to a special ARM like this: https://zenworkpro.com/dp/B01AI2YGK4/Monitor-Desk-Mount.html
So, the monitor will have a proper eye level, it's be easier to move it (sometimes it needs to move the monitor a bit closer), and you'll have more space under to monitor - can put a phone for example.
Here you go: mount
Thanks, it’s this one:

yes unless is ultra old monitor. check which VESA standart supports your monitor (usually 75x75 or 100x100) and order one.

Then the gear can be where I want it, with minimal effort...
What about this
Just the $30 amazon special. I've had it almost two years now and it still works great.
I have my monitor on an arm, and my laptop on another arm on a plate.

Here's the link, but the twist is you have to add the capital letter "G" into it somewhere for it to be valid.
Hi, thanks for asking I purchased this arm and it works great arm for laptop
Bought a total of six of these identical looking mounts in 2019 and 2021, while they aren't perfect I got them for between $10 and $20 a pop. They're a little stiff, but if you don't move your monitors much they're perfect. I've used them with chonky monitors like the 34" LG 34GN850 Ultrawide, ASUS PG279Q, Odyssey G7, and lighter monitors like my QNIX QX2710, MSI G24C and some others. No compatibility issues on any of them, but you may need to adjust the resistance or heavier monitors may sag.

I bought the cheapest arm from North-Bayou and it's been working well for me for a couple of years. I've switched several display tablets, it still holds.
si tiene soporte vesa
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AI2YGK4/
tengo 2 de esos y son wenos pal precio que tienen, igual tan en aliexpress pero al menos en mi caso el puro envio salia como 200 lucas xD
I ended up with a single desk mount. https://www.amazon.com/North-Bayou-Monitor-Computer-14-3lbs/dp/B01AI2YGK4
Going to try it out. May go dual later.

This should be the link for it. It's able to move around very efficiently and can hold a crazy amount of weight. You can turn the stand almost completely horizontal and still move it around which is how I was able to keep it so close to the wall.
It was the cheap $30 one; pretty good for $30 though…
NB North Bayou Monitor Desk Mount... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AI2YGK4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Those Ergotron (what a scam price!!) arms looks just like the NB-F80 I have, which are only $29 atm. on Amazon, and can hold about 10Kg/20 pounds, same as Ergotron.
https://www.amazon.com/North-Bayou-Monitor-Computer-14-3lbs/dp/B01AI2YGK4
If I were ever to go for something like that, I would rather use 2 of those than 1 Ergotron. With 2 arms it's not only more stable, but you can eliminate the wobble from resonance by just adding some weight to one of the arms so they have different resonance, should you even encounter wobble with 2 arms. They are also a steal compared to Ergotron. I have had mine for 4-5 years and have 27" screens on them that are about 7-8 Kg IIRC. Just to emphasize, they are not wobbly in general, it's just that when you hit the resonance, they will wobble a bit. I'm confident the Ergotron behaves exactly same.
You never told us what you use it for, and I guess if you have a solid desk and only use your pad for pointing and dragging like in 3D-programs like MAYA or 3dsMax, it would not be a problem. Not trying to argue with Mohfw, and I totally believe his/her info., but it definitely depends how you use your pad, like what software you are using (CAD vs drawing) and how stable your desk is.
The NB-F80 are plenty strong, but just like a big bridge for trucks and cars, it has its resonance. Even if you have a very light touch, it will start wobbling if your strokes hit the resonance of the arm. Even though my screens are mounted in a very heavy desk (6cm plywood), which is very stable, if I move my mouse in a certain rhythm (same as the arms resonance) from side to side, my screens starts wobbling. Although not much, it would certainly affect drawing if I was drawing on them. In particular the pressure sensitivity. Touching the screen with a pen would of course be a lot worse as far as wobbling goes. I tend to "dig " music with my foot, and as I'm writing this, that movement through my body into my arms is enough for the screens to wobble a bit.
My 2 cents...
Cheers :)
P.S. If you buy two arms, buy the single versions and mount them far apart, or you will not get rid of the resonance.

This single-arm mount is also on sale if you're looking for a dual single mount setup for more flexibility.
The 32" is only 16lbs without the stand? Damn that light.
In that case they do have a cheaper arm that should still work.
Would something like this work? for $24
https://www.amazon.com/North-Bayou-Monitor-Computer-14-3lbs/dp/B01AI2YGK4?ref_=ast_sto_dp
It's within the weight limit and cheap. I gave a different model of these North Bayou mounts to my buddy after using a pair for around 7 years. I had one holding a 32" monitor as well.
I switched to the amazon branded ergotron lx arms but I was happy with the elcheapos even if the range was less.
LCD writing tablet. These don't require a computer. Only $10 and you can write on them and click a button to erase. And constantly reuse it.
Dyson. Replaced all my other vacuums. Doesn't take any space.
Todoist the app. Makes it easy to organize my day.
Logitech MX Master 3. One mouse that helps me so much with my work and productivity.
Slice 10515 Mini Box Cutter, Ceramic Blade - Love this thing. It's all I need for cutting boxes. . Just an itty bitty thing perfect for cutting open boxes.
Aero Cosmetics Wash Wax. I don't really need to pay money to get my car washed, I don't need to go to a Chevron to have its auto-cleaners scratch up my car. I don't need to carry a bucket with me. Just do a routine checkup and clean the car anywhere. No bucket. No water. Just spray and wipe. Clean car.
Exofficio underwear. There's now other brands that do the same thing. But basically kinda essential if you travel.
Intel Nuc. Not for everyone. But I like how portable and powerful it is to do get the things I need it to do.
Monitor Desk Mount. I can't believe I waited so long to get this. This effectively gives you SO MUCH space, so much space. I never bothered with it but after watching this video, I was sold. And he's absolutely right. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QpTijfEjkUs&t=167s&ab_channel=TomBuck
Logitech K380 and Logitech Pebble. These 2 in tandem are great for travel setups.
Nothing fancy: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AI2YGK4/
It wobbles when the desk moves up and down, but otherwise it’s stable. I prefer individual single mounts for the extra placement flexibility.

amazon.de is good for stuff you want to get from Amazon. But how exactly you gonna service your stuff. For example I ordered power source but when it came and I saw it, I wasn't happy about it, so I ordered new one from Alza, it was there the next day and I went there, swap it, done.
I use Amazon.de when I want things that are not that crucial, things like this: https://www.amazon.de/-/cs/dp/B01AI2YGK4 Or I may order case from amazon.de maybe a vent... but I wouldn't order anything where I would need service fast
Awesome dude! Their customer service was absolutely fantastic, the original mount the one I have in the video was a super cheap gas one off Amazon:
NB North Bayou Monitor Desk Mount... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AI2YGK4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I now have this one instead as I whenever I wanted move it up and down rather than articulate it moves in an circular fashion putting it off centre when making it taller
VIVO Single 13 to 27 inch LCD... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B21TLQU?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
They’re both cheap and actually REALLY good for the price, just have different functions!

Thoughts on this arm mount?

https://www.amazon.com/North-Bayou-Monitor-Computer-14-3lbs/dp/B01AI2YGK4/ref=sr\_1\_5
A monitor arm such as this will help to create usable space underneath the monitor and will also help to manage your cables better. Clip the cables to the monitor arm and use the grommet to funnel your wires down. Position the clock or something underneath the monitor. Consider an under-desk mounted tray to hold the monitor's power brick. You'll probably need a long extension cord to connect the power. Make sure the extension cord is long enough for when the desk is in the standing position.
Thanks! The arm on far left is https://www.amazon.com/North-Bayou-Monitor-Computer-14-3lbs/dp/B01AI2YGK4/ref=sr_1_4 and the middle and right one are both https://www.amazon.com/VIVO-Adjustable-Articulating-Counterbalance-STAND-V001O/dp/B01NH0HTM5/ref=sr_1_9
Simply combine one of these monitor arms with this one.
I think you don’t have to spend a lot for a monitor arm for this specific purpose unless your laptop weighs more than 10kg…lol
PS. My english??… I just can speak well enough for playing around with you guys on reddit. No sweat, haha!
I can’t help but the monitor on a stack of books makes me itch. Grab a vesa mount and you can clear off your desk and adjust it to any height.
I'm using a homemade table too! Didn't expect it to be difficult finding accessories for it but as soon as I setup my PC it felt real tight up front.. figured it would just be temporary until I got a new standard size table, but I'm glad I stuck with it. Got a mount arm for my monitor (my neighbor pointed out it was vesa mount-ready) which freed up some space, and a custom mousepad to fit the exact size and color scheme of my setup. Highly recommend you do the same. Amazon mount arm here and custom mousepad from Yourplaymat. hope this helps!
I used these ones:
32in Monitor - North Bayou Monitor Gas Spring Mount
22in Monitor - WALI Monitor Arm
Got myself a generic laptop/tablet stand that was adjustable up to 90 degrees like this one.
Served me well before deciding to go for a desk mount with a vesa adapter (bought separately).

Which dual arms offer independent movement of the monitors? I keep looking but in the price ranges like the ones people link to both are together on a single center column and can only move with each other.
I was thinking of something like two of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AI2YGK4/ Would take up more room in the back but then I could move everything around as I need, right?
The ones I have seen people link to are things like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009S750LA/ They have forward and back, left and right articulation but thats about it.
I have my two 27" monitors on stands like these.
I have my Yeti on a cheap Neewer boom arm.

I used this mount. Very good and stable!
I used this mount https://www.amazon.it/NB-F80-Professionale-Certificato-orientabile/dp/B01AI2YGK4
Do you want to see the back of the monitor?
I bought this one off of Amazon a few years ago (Sep 2016) and it worked pretty good. I don't have it anymore as I gave it away to a friend with the monitor a 2 years ago.
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01AI2YGK4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'm still using this one but it's considerably more expensive now but still works great with a 27" monitor. This one was bought in 2016 as well.
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00XWRSOY2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It’s actually 4 different mounts only because I already had a few of them. I find that even though there was a considerable tolerance for the weight of the monitor, they still wobbled a little much for my liking, so they’re all pushed together and also sitting on the desk for stability, and then some gaff tape on the back side to both add some structural integrity to prevent little wiggles and to block light from coming in between the cracks.

No clue on the other one, its a very basic one and got it a super long time ago.
yes you are able to do that, recently posted my setup with monitors mounted that way on this sub here I would definitely recommend the North Bayou F80. Fantastic monitor arm at a great price :)
Here’s the Monitor Stand I have the same one. I love it. Works great for the price it is.
I'm using 2 seperate NB North Bayou Monitor Desk Mount https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01AI2YGK4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
These ones I got from Amazon, pretty decent and no real complaints. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AI2YGK4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_75szDb786Y1GK
hey is that the same/ similar monitor stadn to this one: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B01AI2YGK4 (yes its amazon Australia...) nice setup +1
I just use a pair of these and am ceaselessly amazed how decent they are considering the price: https://www.amazon.com/North-Bayou-Monitor-Computer-14-3lbs/dp/B01AI2YGK4/
These are kind of the standard single monitor arms: https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Premium-Single-Monitor-Stand/dp/B00MIBN16O/

Nothing special or all that great, but it works! Had to drill a hole in the top of the desk, so depending on your setup, you might want one that has a C-clamp style but that didn't work for my setup.
hey there! its a combo of this arm: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AI2YGK4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
plus this laptop plate:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07R47YY1N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and the case on the ipad is magnetized, so it sticks nicely!

>Anything about this setup that I should reconsider?
Nope, sounds like a solid plan
>How much more "strain" will I put on my 1080Ti by adding another monitor?
Not a meaningful amount
>Recommended VESA mounts for three monitors? Should I get one massive one that can have all three attached to it, or get individual ones, or maybe a mix of a dual-monitor arm and a single monitor arm? Might be nice to be able to switch the portrait monitor back to landscape when I need.
3x single mounts is always better if your budget and space will allow for it. You have vastly more flexibility with placement and monitor types if they each have their own arm. For the arms, I've been pretty happy with these budget ones. This one is a common higher-end choice.
(I don't have any advice on KBMs, sorry)
i would suggest 2 separate hydraulic monitor arms.

I have used those with 2 29 inch ultrawides then i upgraded one to the MSI 34 ultrawide and it does not have a problem just had to tighten the arms more then the 29
Like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AI2YGK4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Cv8dFb4RT7ARS it's cheap but it'll get the job done
Thanks. It’s a monoprice 32 inch 4K monitor and like a $35 Amazon arm https://www.amazon.ca/North-Bayou-Monitor-Motion-14-3lbs/dp/B01AI2YGK4.
I bought this very inexpensive one from amazon and I’m happy with it
it’s this one off amazon, link is canadian (sorry, eh)
Thanks! It’s the Ikea Linnmon table top and the monitor arm is this one off Amazon (canadian link)
I use a North Bayou that I got off of amazon, they are like pretty cheap and work really well. There is an adjustment screw that you may need to turn to adjust for the weight so that it does not move up or down on its own. Under $40

Here's a suggested build that I believe hits all your requests: 2 monitors - one ultrawide, one high refresh; League of Legends Vi color theme; 2 headsets; and best performance for the budget. Went a little over at $3579, but did so to hit all the requests. Parts explanations below:
CPU: 3700x is a great gaming and multi-purpose/streaming CPU; should be able to handle over 144hz at 1080p on the competitive monitor. On sale at Microcenter for $279.99
CPU Cooler: the H100i Platinum will cool the 3700x while overclocked just fine; also white with RGB fans to fit the theme. The fans are the same ones as on the case, so a good match. I'd move these to the back and top of the case for exhaust, while the top 2 front fans will act as the intake for the radiator. White to fit the theme.
Motherboard: X570 motherboard with good VRMs capable of handling the overclocked 3700x. Has aRGB header to handle all the fans color. 2 m.2 slots for the 2 storage drives for a clean cable-less storage solution.
Memory: 32GB of 3600Mhz RAM; RGB to fit the theme.
Storage: A very fast 500GB m.2 NVME drive for the boot, and another 1TB m.2 NVME for storage. Went with a second m.2 since it was actually pretty inexpensive and for a cleaner installation (less cables).
Video Card: 2080 ti is the top dog card right now.
Case: The Corsair iCUE 465x is a great quality decently good airflow case with 3 great LL120 aRGB fans. White to fit the theme.
Power Supply: Corsair RM750x is a high quality/tier PSU. Went with 750w for extra headroom for overclocking and any future upgrades.
OS: Windows 10 Home license
Monitors: 1 34" ultrawide 1440p 100hz monitor for single player gaming (VA for good color); and 1 24" 1080p 240hz TN panel for low reponse time and super high refresh rates in competitive gaming.
Mouse: Included the Model O mouse - very popular, white, great design, and has RGB.
Headphones: Added in the 2 headphones as mentioned as part of the budget - Sennheiser HD600 for music and ARCTIS 5 for gaming.
Colored Cable Extensions: included a white and dark blue cable extension kit to match the Vi theme. Small detail but looks great.
Monitor Mount: I did not add this in, but here's a suggestion for one (or at least this type of mount) - Full motion monitor mount with gas springs
RGB Setup Suggestion: So, to complete the theme, I'd suggest setting up the RGB as follows:
As for headphone and mouse stands, I don't know enough about them so didn't include suggestions.
This is the one I have. I took the ugly yellow logo off as soon as I bought it, but works fine other than that
I've thought about combining a gas spring monitor arm with a laptop vesa tray. It would certainly be awesome when using it docked as a desktop (with an second monitor and keyboard/mouse) but I don't think it will be stable enough to draw on.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AI2YGK4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_hZi1Cb34GASDD https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06WW8NVTK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_w7i1CbJ6JQTQH
For both the center and right monitor, I'm using the NB North Bayou Monitor Desk Mount.
Actually the majority of IPS panels are 60Hz. Newest models often supports 75Hz but it isn't the norm yet.
Gsync/Freesync is always useful especially if you have dips in your framerate (low FPS). You could go with this model:

and buy a separate monitor arm because you'll restrict your options otherwise. Something like this : https://www.amazon.com/North-Bayou-Monitor-Computer-14-3lbs/dp/B01AI2YGK4/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=gas+monitor+arm&qid=1555689818&s=gateway&sr=8-5

You can go much cheaper though if you don't want VESA/stand though:
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16824160373

Also, keep it mind that at $200 usd, you can buy a 144Hz VA panel such as this:
Stay away from this one. Worked great for about 9 months, then the part that lets you tilt the monitor up and down gave out and there is no way to tighten it.

Doesn't quite do a foot, but I love them
Yes they do, here you go
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236335 two of these and two of these
I bought this one last september and i am very pleased:
https://www.amazon.com/North-Bayou-Motion-Computer-Monitors/dp/B01AI2YGK4/
I’m thinking you combine the following, and it would be <$100.
1) a Gas arm monitor mount 2) a VESA laptop tray
Mount the tray onto the monitor arm, and you should be able to lift/lower it as you please. Just need to make sure the tilt angle on the monitor arm is okay.
Check the second picture in the second link, which shows the laptop tray mounted in the style I’m thinking of.

You have taught me so much. I'm ordering an arduino starter kit, Gonna mess around with styrene over the weekend. and I have some sweet TvMounts on there way for keyboard and mouse swingouts. Seriously Jag, you have no idea how similar our goals are with our rigs. Im going with your suggestion of screen mounts, cause my previous frankenstein of sheet-metal custom rigged to articulating lamp arms didn't pan out... keyboard too heavy. who knew :(.. lol rookie mistake. I don't know about you, but my motivation was the orginal Chris Roberts' kickstarter video when he's sitting in the Hornet
Instead of using a swing arm to mount the center stick I'm going to build a center console out of mdf that either leg will go around. I looked into base extensions and that's just too much work. Plus with a console I can rig up custom control similar to how you have the two extra switches (which are mad sexy btw).
I've wanted to mount LCDs behind my MFDs. Initially I was going to use 2xASUS memopads(100$ each) and run a PC monitor extender to them or use ROCCAT. I like your method, seems cheaper and smoother.
Again.. Jag, you beat me to the punch on the HUD, well in your case Targeting computer. I was going to implement a HUD akin to the F-16 or any real world fighter with the same concept you employed. LCD lay flat, 45' plexi reflect image. I was hoping to use it with raw game data if thats available in the future.
One different aspect Im doing is an HDMI, peripheral switcher. No matter how much I've tried to make it comfortable, the FPS just doesnt work in the cockpit. So I'm migrating my gaming rig out of the cockpit via HDMI switches and perif switches. At my main desk I have an old gaming PC that I use for less graphic intense stuff. They will both parallel the desk monitor and the desk keyb/mouse. Upon hitting the switches the star citizen rig will become active and taking over those devices so I can FPS more comfortably.
Funny bit is that when I exit the ship in game... I actually have to exit my cockpit and sit at my desk :p
Have this monitor and love it! I bought this mount as the stock one is kinda crap. I will be buying 2 more of these as 144hz is best hz
You really can't beat that price. It doesn't qualify for Prime, but for $35 who cares?
I have a 29UM65 and use this guy. Its cheap but does the job very well.

The North Bayou mount that was posted here awhile ago is incredibly stable for the price.
It's out of stock on amazon, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AI2YGK4?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage
But you can still get it on Ebay
Not sure how they sell for so cheap, it's really good.
Holds my vg248qe and the s2340m easily.
So much more room on my tiny ikea micke desk now :D https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/46294175/Setup/WP_20160228_00_24_34_Pro__smallres.jpg
Tons of reviews on this North Bayou arm
Get one of these articulating arms. You can thank me later.
~~I’m returning mine.~~ The panel itself is gorgeous.
I tried to use my monitor mount I got on Amazon and it doesn't fit (this thing works perfectly on my two Dells). The Vesa mount square (recessed area) in the back of the LG is too narrow to accept this mount. It would have required I shave down the corners of the bracket to get it to fit. Edit - got a spacer kit from amazon, I’m happy with it now. But others should be aware of it anyway.
So I tried to deal with the stand, but man oh man do I hate it. It doesn't allow the monitor to get low enough to the desk, it felt like I was looking up at it (and I'm tall). Compared to any Dell monitor stand I've touched, the LG's is just poor.
The power cable with the external brick is too short for good cable management on my desk so I had the cord jutting out to the side and since the monitor doesn't get low enough, it's very visible and an eyesore for me. Even the display port cable it came with is too short.
Again I thought the panel itself is pretty, but the inability to use my mount and the stand it came with are total deal breakers. I was very frustrated by it.
Edit -
For comparison on the amount of space under the monitor. The LG is at it’s lowest setting compared to the dell. https://i.imgur.com/xZjJFhF.jpg
