“Neck gaiter” might be a better way of finding what OP is referring to

Dude, it's brutal. I do Judo, BJJ, and Krav Maga wearing masks. I've pretty much become a mask master at this point when it comes to selecting a mask.
What I've found is that a lot of the issue seems to be caused by the inconsistent pressure that heavy breathing causes. When you start breathing in, there's one level of force, and that requirement ramps up as it basically gets sucked toward your mouth. So the battle is making sure that the suction doesn't happen.
Right now, I'm using a mission mask, with a 4Ocean frame support. I've clipped off those tiny hook things because they scratch the face a bit.
Prior to that, I was using a (neck gaitor)[https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08748VPFG/] with a different (mask support)[https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08GPL6C9J]. The problem there is that this mask support doesn't stay in place. So it's a pain while training, and annoying when you take things off.
I've found that the key for training is the behind the head straps. Over the ear won't stay in place. You can but the behind the head straps if you use disposables.
The problem with disposables is that they break REALLY easily, and when they get wet with spit and sweat, most of them basically start to waterboard you.
I tried the Under Armour mask, but that thing was just too thick.
There's that underarmor one that last I checked was backordered into forever. That one's probably pretty promising since I've always found their fabric materials to perform as advertised.
Edit: only September now

Reviews seem to be reflecting some quality issues but since you're looking for a fabric that does magic tricks with heat and sweat they're still really your best bet. I generally buy their other products for those kinds of magic tricks, like sports bras and leggings. They work well.
However, while wearing a mask in summer heat I'm not so sure there is a mask that prevents you from waterboarding yourself with your own sweat. Fortunately, we're almost past the peak period for summer heat.
Edit: something like this might work too:
Probably isn't enough of a barrier if you're standing around talking to people but might be great for simply keeping your breath spray to yourself while being physically active.
