As mentioned on the post comments, I think it was quite interesting, but also reveals how hard it is for us, Redmond outsiders to sometimes deal with COM love at WinDev, even with the help of books like .NET and COM: The Complete Interoperability Guide, and CsWinRT still requires deep Windows dev knowledge to use it as it is.
I guess with more attempts like that, things eventually get better.
