But as for the second, can't we already do that? Granted, this price is ridiculous (70 bucks less than the router+satellite), but I didn't look to see if it was cheaper elsewhere.

I wonder if that is the difference, bundled Satellite vs. Addon?

I am looking into buying a new satellite. My current setup is RBK50 (Router RBR50 + 1 Satellite RBS50). Currently thinking about these three options:

1. Buy RBS50 which is expensive but very powerful: $215 now on Amazon (RBS50).
2. Buy RBS40V which is way cheaper but less powerful: $99 now on Amazon (RBS40V).
3. Buy RBW30 which I am not sure about its performance: $149 now on Amazon (RBW30).

The room I want to install the new satellite in is very close but for some reason, the signal is weak (concrete walls). I tried the current Satellite (RBS50) I have and it worked perfectly so not sure how RBS40V or RBW30 would perform. Any advice?

You can (RBS50 is the model number) but from what I’m seeing it’s nearly the price of the entire system.
