This book looks pretty bad. It's a red flag when it starts off claiming to be the first book on digital aesthetics, yet it was published in 2009. The author should have googled before making that claim.

Gaming: Essays On Algorithmic Culture by Alex Galloway
The Language of New Media by Lev Manovich (boring, but everybody has it)
