I bought this thing and it works great. Fits under the original McLaren case, too!
Type C Wireless Charging Receiver, Nillkin Magic Tag USB C Qi Wireless Charger Receiver Chip for Google Pixel 2 XL/3a XL/LG V20 / OnePlus 6/6T/7/7 Pro and Other USB C Phones https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M11UT3V/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_PKRSBA7EKJ2SMN4QG43K?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
This'll be an odd question, and I know I already have one in here, but I need someone to tell me that I'm insane, or maybe that I'm not.
I have an Anne Pro 2. It supports Bluetooth. It also has a Type-C USB connector. I want to crack it open, install one of these wireless charging receivers into the case, and then take apart the wires and solder them to the interior USB connector, so that they match the same pins (while leaving the existing connector intact). Unless I'm dramatically mistaken, I would hope that this would enable the keyboard to charge its battery when placed on a Qi-compatible charging pad/mat, while allowing me to also plug it into the computer for wired operation. Am I about to create a fire, or would this potentially work?
I have a dream. And that dream is no wires.
I am determined to make a wireless mechanical keyboard that charges via a Qi pad embedded under my desk. I've found a few attachable receivers that will do the job for receiving, but the problem is actually finding a wireless enabled PCB. Unless things have changed since I last checked BT has a substantial overhead when decoding, so I would prefer an RF PCB but I cannot for the life of me find one.
Ideally (and this is a stretch) it would be compatible with the Fjell, but frankly I'm so lost on where to even find one that I'll go with about anything at this point. Either that or I need to learn how to fabricate my own lol
There are quite a few chargers that would fit in the tray, the only problem I see is that you need another cable to connect it to the USBC port.
In my case, I don't find wireless recharging useful, as I need to have my phone plugged in in order to have all the apps on the console anyway. I'm on Android.

I bought a wireless charging receiver for my Onyx Nova 3 and now I don't have to envy the new Paperwhite anymore.
The receiver only have 5W output, but that's enough for me as I can just put it on the charging mat from time to time and take it away anytime I want to use it.
I picked up the X4 a couple months ago for $180 on Amazon (the Amazon edition). Pretty good for the price. Solid build, decent battery life (5 hours SOT), I like the form factor, Moto features, headphone jack, micro sd.

Things I didn't love: No wireless charging (picked this up from Amazon), camera isn't great (esp in low light), slippery (solved with case), not the fastest device.

Other phones I considered in your price point:
LG G6
Moto G6
Honor 7X

Shops will be closed for Labour Day. Amazon prime would have it delivered tomorrow. https://www.amazon.ca/Wireless-Charging-Receiver-Nillkin-Charger/dp/B01M11UT3V/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=wireless+charging+receiver&qid=1567424427&s=gateway&sprefix=wireless+charging+re&sr=8-3
You can buy a external wireless charging receiver here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M11UT3V/
The picture shows the standard USB C version. It only charges slowly, but I ordered the larger iPad Pro version to see if that fits and charges better. It's not as slim as I'd like, but the Duo folds over just fine and you can probably hide it under a case once those appear.
I use one every day. My phone sites on the charger all day at work, and all night while I sleep. Same as I did with my Pixel 2 and Nexus 6. No problems.
I use this : Nillkin Type C Wireless Charging Receiver
I upgraded from the S8. I kind of miss wireless charging, but this thing really does charge fast and the battery life has been exponentially better than what the S8 has.
Plus if you really, really want wireless charging you can use this guy and it will work. I think it should fit in most cases. Obviously don't get a clear case with it. https://www.amazon.com/Nillkin-Wireless-Charging-Receiver-Charger/dp/B01M11UT3V
And yeah this will be supported longer than the Note 9.
No, it was that the port got so wide that it couldn't do USB charging anymore. I don't think the screws would come off.
A couple of janks in the wrong directions. The USB-C port wasn't quite well designed to last. I've taken apart my own Alienware laptop and the TB3 port on the back has a pretty beefy metal bar that screws in to prevent the port from moving around. Based on those inferences I think it's just cause I plugged things into it (like my headphones) often enough to the point that it just wouldn't charge.
I have a Volta magnetic disconnect cable now to prevent my mechanical keyboard, which also uses an unprotected USB-C cable, from having its port snapped off if it gets yanked, as has happened in the past (I managed to solder it back on the first time). I'm currently just using an Anker cable but at some point I'll get more magnetic USB heads and I'll be able to protect my phone port as well.
There's also a different solution to the unprotected port problem, which is to get a wireless charging adapter like that one (has a lot of reviews) which is Qi compatible, but I can't be sure of its charge speed, especially when charging up the beefy battery.
I don't get it are you looking for something similar to this?
There is https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M11UT3V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_LTyaBb3D8DDEF
but no included battery pack.
The conversation below and I both have the impression you wanted this exact device- if so, no, it won't work.
if you want something similar, google (or amazon) moto x4 wireless charging cause that's what I just did and found a shit load of product hits. But I don't see any with an included battery.
I went from a Lumia 950 to an LG V20. It is hardware wise pretty much better than the 950 in most ways.
Camera: 950 has better stabilization but PQ is pretty much a wash
Wireless charging: LG V20 does not have it but I use this and case for wireless charing, https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Charging-Receiver-Nillkin-Charger/dp/B01M11UT3V/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1511989404&sr=8-3&keywords=wireless+charging+receiver+usb+c
LG V20 does not have an iris reader but does have a fingerprint reader.
Overall though the LG V20 is better, the Quad headphone DAC is utterly amazing on the LG V20
The Pixel and Pixel XL don't have wireless charging. You'd have to buy a 3rd party case with wireless charging capability to use the dock.
If you're looking for the receiver to connect to the phone to enable it to charge wirelessly, there's the Mophie Juice Pack, which is a case. Or there are stick on low profile receivers that stick to the back and plug into the USB-C port. This one being the best reviewed.
Exactly what I was thinking. The bump wouldn't be worth the convenience for me, and it may even disconnect easier on me, being even more of an inconvenience. Especially with USB C, where orientation doesn't matter.
It made me actually look into something like this wireless charging add on. If there's gonna be a bump on the bottom, might as well have it add even more convenience/functionality. I'm honestly the most disappointed that the phone doesn't have native wireless charging capability.
You have to but this to wireless charge the A52:
https://www.amazon.com/Nillkin-Wireless-Charging-Receiver-Charger/dp/B01M11UT3V
I'm working on a wireless charging setup based on something like this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M11UT3V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_5GM50EH3YCEP3GBQTDFC
Are you running nice!nanos, or something else?
Do you use a case? If so you can easily add wireless charging to any phone without it. You just put one of these between the phone and case. Though that doesn't solve the IP68 requirement you have.
https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Charging-Receiver-Nillkin-Charger/dp/B01M11UT3V
I added this to my Oneplus 7 Pro. It charges my phone pretty quickly with my Wireless Charger.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M11UT3V/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You can add wireless charging to any phone so long as you use a case.
Here is the first Google result. Just stick it under the case, and you won't know it's there.
Could try one of these
Then something like this https://www.amazon.com/Nillkin-Wireless-Charging-Receiver-Charger/dp/B01M11UT3V
Will add it
Nothing fancy. I don't use the actual port anymore so I just use this.
> a wirelles charging pad
So something like this?
> extend battery (6400 mah with the lump on the back)
So this?
or rather this?
I have the Perfine 6400 mAh myself, but no Qi-charging pad (don't really see the need)
Some thoughts:
I got an LG V20 and use this for wireless charging, works great and is not noticeable when you use a phone case,
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M11UT3V/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
If you're looking for something to cover the port, why not add in wireless charging with something like this? https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Charging-Receiver-Nillkin-Charger/dp/B01M11UT3V/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
