You should get the Joycon battery pack add on from Nintendo and it will make your Joycons much bigger.
I know that sounds like an internet spam ad for something else.
It is currently $15 on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071XXXK2X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_qdW7Bb6Q8Y6PS
Depends what you mean by big.
Thumb to pinky my hand span is about 9 inches across.
Whilst not perfect I've found the official AA joy con things to be pretty good for docked play: https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Joy-AA-Battery-Pack-switch/dp/B071XXXK2X
> Make some new official grips for individual joycons for under $20 that makes them larger and more comfortable as individual controllers and allows them to be charged.
It's probably not what you're looking for, but there's this: https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Joy-AA-Battery-Pack-switch/dp/B071XXXK2X
I can only agree with the small size of the Joy-Con but when you attach them to the Joy-Con Battery Pack it gets a lot better. Many stores should have the battery pack at a acceptable price.
Hi all!
Newer Switch owner here (just got mine a few weeks ago) and I have a quick question.
I purchased the AA battery packs for my joy cons in order to add some size and weight to them, and so far I'm loving them! However, they don't fit in my current traveling case that I got (it was a cheap impulse buy when I got the Switch).
Do you guys have any recommendations on some good travel cases that the AA batteries packs for the joy cons would fit into? I'm not looking for a HUGE case for carrying the dock and everything else, mostly just the Switch, joy-cons with battery packs, and some games.
EDIT: Just for reference, here is a link to the battery packs on Amazon. This should give you an idea of how much larger they make the joy cons.

There are no replacements available for purchase yet. BUT you do have some options,
send it into nintendo for a out of warranty repair, (they will charge you for it but I dont know how much)
See if it works while connected without the battery in.
Try using the joycon battery packs
Joycon grips are the best solution right now.
I recommend the official Nintendo Joy con battery grip.
Cons first: It's relatively expensive and only works with detached joycons since the grips have their own rails. Made with hard plastic so it's not squishy like silicone grips (whether or not that's a pro/con is up to you)
Pros: Extends battery life if you typically leave the joycons off and, more comfy to hold for certain hands than just joycons, SL and SR easier to press in single joycon mode, adds weight for extra stabilization depending on how many batteries you put in. Also, 0 or 1 batteries inserted does not charge your joycon, so if you prefer not to actually use up batteries you can go this route and still have a nice grip.

In terms of split Joycon play, the official Nintendo Joycon Battery Grip gives you some added girth for comfort, as well as weight stability if you want. I personally put in only 1 battery on each side so that the Joycons don't actually charge, but there's still a little extra weight for some added accuracy in Splatoon.
ah okay, i misunderstood. have you thought about these? https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Switch-Joy-Con-AA-Battery-Pack/dp/B071XXXK2X
i've also seen people cut up a combined grip and attach them to the individual joy-cons to make a better grip that way.
I use the included wrist strap for a slightly better fit. You could also use the included grip for just the one JoyCon and still use them split. But if I were to buy an accessory, it would be a battery pack for both a heftier controller and the convenience of never having to charge the things attached to the Switch itself (cheap knockoffs also available).
Although the button layout on the Pro is a lot better, so it's great for that (and if there's ever any couch multiplayer).
I think they're expecting people to buy and use the new battery grips that launch with the game.
I think the product is silly and bad (using disposable batteries to charge a joy-con), but a comfort grip for separated joy-cons would be nice.
Edit: joy-con battery pack
Get the official Nintendo AA battery packs
Just wanted to send an update saying that Joy Con's paired together are officially supported on Steam now. I know based off your comments you were looking for something with analog triggers and better grips, but it's somewhat of an improvement.
I have the same interest myself in split controllers, a small suggestion if you do pursue it again is that I've heard people find the controllers more comfortable with the extended AA battery covers you can get (https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Joy-AA-Battery-Pack-switch/dp/B071XXXK2X/ref=sr_1_4?crid=13QZHYCXB1S8K&keywords=joycons+battery&qid=1668331428&sprefix=joycons+battery%2Caps%2C143&sr=8-4)
And if that's not enough I've also considered putting a pop socket or a phone ring on the back to help grip and hand adjustment.
Try this. Made the joycons way more comfortable to hold for me.

The Switch Joy-Con AA battery pack. Since the Wii also used AA batteries, this should give the Joy-Cons that same satisfying weight.
It seems that your comment contains 1 or more links that are hard to tap for mobile users. I will extend those so they're easier for our sausage fingers to click!

Lowest I can find them for is $30
I've played Fitness Boxing 1 for 706 days straight, and never once had this problem. This is while using no JoyCon grips / standard JoyCon grips / extra large JoyCon grips (https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Joy-AA-Battery-Pack-switch/dp/B071XXXK2X)

If you use the extra large JoyCon grips I linked you won't be pressing the Home button anymore, unless if you hands are absolutely gigantic.

Nintendo's official battery pack holders are pretty comfortable. Makes it more wii-motey. they are cheap. I leave dead batteries in 'em for the weight.
Yes, the "Joy-Con AA Battery Pack": https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Joy-AA-Battery-Pack-switch/dp/B071XXXK2X/
They were on sale for $7 last year: https://old.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitchDeals/comments/cpf01c/gamestopus_joycon_battery_pack_697_current/
I wrote this back then:
> So there are two reasons to like the joy-con battery pack, neither actually related to the charging functionality: size in hand and heft. Totally not worth it at the original $30 but worth it at $7

$11.99
If you have Amazon Prime Fresh, they seem to be matching this price through that buying platform. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071XXXK2X/ref=afx_dp_ingress?ie=UTF8&almBrandId=QW1hem9uIEZyZXNo&fpw=alm

I bought the AA JoyCon Grips https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071XXXK2X
Do they use the charge that's on the controller first THEN the AA batteries or is it ONLY AA battery?
Maybe these for when you're not playing in handheld mode: https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Joy-AA-Battery-Pack-switch/dp/B071XXXK2X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1511999295&sr=8-1&keywords=joycon+battery+pack
maybe the battery covers will be different.
Put those prices in Checkmate.
