The Facebook group Knights of Ren (kylo ren cosplay) and most of the stormtrooper groups have a lot of info on this. The issue is that putting the mic and speaker in the helmet usually causes feedback.
Amazon has mini speaker amps meant for speaking gigs that can work, but the speaker is meant to go on your belt or chest.
