sorry i don't know of any that really dwelve into this. most of then skim over a fascinating period and give a very shallow image of the people that lived here. what i can recomend if you are interested is reading Egil's saga for the awesome viking crazyness and and Brennu njáls saga for the vikings being lawyers. http://www.amazon.com/Njals-Saga-Penguin-Classics-Anonymus/dp/0140447695/ref=pd_bxgy_14_text_y Both are amazing. but this book is the most readable that's available on in english http://www.amazon.com/Viking-Age-Iceland-Jesse-Byock/dp/0140291156/ref=pd_sim_14_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=0TF2HV23G48H1E06F7ZX
