I have this sign next to my doorbell. When anyone rings my bell intent on violating those rules, I silently point to it and glare at the offender(s). Haven't had a Mormon, JW, or DTD sales in 3 years, it's wonderful.
I used to have those problems (1x-3x a week) until I purchased a decent sized No Soliciting sign and mounted it next to my front door.
Here is the one I got: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B39S9MM/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_.KITCb8XCS9TY
There are several versions on Amazon, hopefully your HOA will allow it or find one that meets your HOA requirements.
Depending on your HOA you could also file a complaint and see if the HOA would take steps in adding no soliciting signs for the entire neighborhood, make exceptions for No Soliciting signs or possibly contacting police for Trespassing, however your mileage will vary greatly here depending on HOA/Local Police.
We got a Nest doorbell, but my best investment was this sign:

Looks nice enough and definitely gets the point across..we’ve had a large decrease in people coming to our door (and can see all the people who attempt it but then see the sign). Seriously one of the best purchases we ever made.
I have this sign:
I also have a doorbell camera that alerts me if it detects people (even if they don't ring). The sign works 100% of the time against Missionaries (literally had zero since installation, and have even seen them turn tail on my porch). It works 40%~ of the time against D2D sales people, even though city bylaws legally enforce No Solicitations.
The biggest benefit is that I can more quickly and sharply reflect sales people "Per the sign I don't buy things from my doorway. Good day. [Close door]." But for the $10 cost of a sign reducing the number of callers even by 25% of well worth it, and it has exceeded that. I'd love to see the city start fining people ignoring them.
Yep it’s on Amazon
I have this sign on my door - it does wonders. No soliciting fundraising politics salesmen religion. I suppose it should say salespeople, but that's included under soliciting.

This one has worked pretty well for me. https://www.amazon.com/Soliciting-Business-Aluminum-Outdoor-Knockers/dp/B01B39S9MM
The religious nuts don't think they're soliciting because they don't want your money (right away).
