Sounds like a weak battery. Running around before you put it back on the trailer topped the charge of the battery off and then what you started it at home (and I would imagine it starts easier when it's not in the water, as the started isn't having to pump water water through the jet drive, though I'm not sure if that actually makes a significant difference).
Charge the battery up and take it to an auto parts store and they'll be able to test the battery for you and tell you if it's good or not.
I leave my sea doo on a battery maintainer/trickle charger when it sits for any significant amount of time. I use a Noco Genius Model, there are certainly less expensive brands available, but supposedly these have some extra monitoring/charging tech. Most people recommend 2 or less amp charging for a jet ski, meaning that one of these should be perfect.
I recommend this one. Has been superb for me after getting a cheap 15$ one and it failed.
I have 2 cars I don't drive. I thought hey I'll just use one trickle charger and charge the other battery every so often. Well life does what life does and suffice to say I now have one perfect battery and a dead battery.
Why not just disconnect the battery when it’s going to sit for long periods? Maybe put the battery in the garage with a trickle charger on it ?

You can try this, it worked for my. fast charger
Start with buying a battery charger and bringing your current one up to full. There is a chance it can be saved or if it refuses to hold a charge well it is time to replace it or it could be old and just dropping in voltage for no good reason.
As far as finding minor power loads that can simple or really hard. Check the simple things like lights/accessories that may be powered on and that the key isn't left on then check if there is any corrosion between the battery terminals and the inside of the connectors. If there is still a small draw that you can't find most people would just put a battery tender on it and ignore the issue.

Ah, I see
In that case, I would take the battery out and leave it on a SMART charger 24/7
I've only just got into motorcycles, but I've been using these NOCO 1's on many other small lead acid batteries, always plugged in all the time, they work great

Sorry I guess I meant if I keep the stock battery and use this charger, so I need to pop open the seat to access the battery directly every time ?

Last night I just went on Amazon and purchased the #1 best seller in battery chargers this one below. It was the most affordable one. It’s gonna work with a scooter battery no problem right. Mines just a 12v regular battery and it should take 10 hours to charge

Noco make a variety of them.
Buy this:
put it on your battery, (make sure what kind of battery it is and set it to the right kind on the charger). this will ensure that the battery is charged when you come back to the bike. You use these whenever you arent going to start up your bike in a bit to make sure the battery doesnt die. In the NE, we use these to keep the battery going over the winter
OK, so the battery maintainer can connect to the fuse box jump point; just like when i jump started it; red to the fuse box thing and black connected to the engine block? Just keep it there until I need to drive, and it will get the battery to 100% and then keep it there? Also, the device does not need to be plugged in, as it gets its power from the fuse box?
This sounds like a great idea. This is the one I am looking at.

> but would still drive the vehicles for 5 - 10 minute trips on a routine basis.
That's your problem right there. Anything under 10 minutes is likely draining power--or at the very least doing nothing to help.
Grab a trickle charger off of Amazon. I use the following on both of my cars and love it --> https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W46BX31/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Here is the charger I use for my fishing boats SLA battery. It's slow but it's best for the battery long term.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W46BX31/
Also, you can use that "5 ah" number and calculate your approximate run time based on the current draw you are using.
Really depends what you want to do. If you want to just charge a battery, any modern charger with overcharge protection will be fine.
If you want to have it plugged into your car all the time something like this: NOCO GENIUS1, 1-Amp Fully-Automatic Smart Charger, 6V And 12V Battery Charger, Battery Maintainer, And Battery Desulfator With Temperature Compensation https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W46BX31/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_nihIFb39X3NM6 would be better, slow charge, but can be left on for weeks. I have a .8 amp one(different brand) and it charges my car fine.
I literally just did this exact same thing. Buy this and hook it up to the battery after taking off the side panel. Let it charge overnight and you'll be good to go the next morning.
Thanks all who replied would something like this work ?

I'm probably in the minority, but as Tesla owners I'm sure you can relate.
My TM3 is a 2018, so it's just a matter of time before the 12V battery dies. I decided to be proactive, and wanted a lithium replacement, so I ordered the Ohmu lithium battery.
I charged it with a trickle charger (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W46BX31/), and it's sitting waiting for the inevitable.
Here is a YouTube video that convinced me to get ready;
it's a lawnmower/powerwheels battery i believe. i like that it's sealed so no risks to spilling when in storage.
i just use my icharger at home, plugged into my DC power supply, in lead acid mode. you can also get a standard car battery charger like this (another amazon link) that'll trickle charge it too.
and yes, you can definitely charge your traxxas batteries with the venom charger as long as it supports the correct charging mode. what charger is it specifically? adapters are easiest, but you could either change the connectors on your cars to match across all your cars (requires a bit of soldering, but most hobby shops will do this for you), or get leads with the correct connector and swap between them (this is what i do since i have one battery that's required to be deans and the rest are 4 or 5 mm bullets).
you are correct that i use the expertpower lead acid battery with my icharger x8 and charge my batteries between 7-14 amps each cycle. i've also used it with my 308 duo charging two batteries at once with similar amperage, but that charger is less efficient than my x8, and i'm able to charge fast enough with the x8 that i don't strictly need dual channel on race day. i've ALSO run two chargers off this battery and not had any problems with amp draw, but limited charging rates to 7-10 amps per charger. with it being lead acid, the higher the draw the lower the voltage output, and if the voltage drops below 11v your charger will shut off. my x8 will handle 7-32v which does give me some extra room to work with to make better use of the expertpower's capacity. i don't think i've ever needed to pull more than 18k mah out of it, but i've definitely hit 18k before.
NOCO. Just don’t fool with the rest of the crud out there. Throw it on your battery. Forget about it. It does all the work of maintaining.
And they’re cheap.

Hopefully grab a klr lower dash when they're in stock.
No need to spend that much.
This will do just fine For less than $30.

Ideally you'd want a 1A (ideal) or 2A (overkill). I just looked and their a tiny bit more costly than I remember. Something like this.
But I'll recommend what I have. Which is the NOCO Genius 1. $33
I was turned on to NOCO after a tow driver recommended their portable jump packs. I bought the GB40 and it's saved my ass a ton as well as some family. So when I swapped tuners, I picked up the Genius 1 for my tender to flash my EQT tune. Sharing the GB40 since I think everyone should have that as well. Get the carry case for it and store it in your trunk.
Is this good? charger
I use the NOCO Genius1 & NOCO X-Connect SAE Adapter on all of my vehicles, I have a half dozen of them.
NOCO Genius1 with X-Connect SAE adapter is better than the Battery Tender. Just sayin'.
I leave it on for seriously extended periods, haven't driven the car in a couple of years and the battery is fine. Yes, I disconnect it when I'm charging the main battery. Highly recommend the NOCO Genius-1 and the NOCO X-Connect SAE Adapter. Better than any trickle charger I've used & I'm OAF. I have them on 4 vehicles - 3 AGM's & 1 Lithium.
Is there a specific one you need that can nurse the cells back to life?
I've been using this one.
Get a NOCO Battery Maintainer and an SAE Adapter.
NOCO Genius1 & NOCO GC009 X-Connect SAE Adapter - I use these on all of my vehicles.
Definitely replace the 12V battery and get a NOCO GENIUS1 to maintain the 12V battery when the car is not being used.
That is exactly what I did and for anyone curious I'm using this $30 charger.
I use NOCO Genius1's on all of my batteries. Also use the SAE adapter and SAE to o-ring harnesses.
What about something like this?
https://www.amazon.com/NOCO-GENIUS1-Fully-Automatic-Temperature-Compensation/dp/B07W46BX31/
I use a NOCO Genius 1 trickle charger to keep it charged. Actually use NOCO Genius 1's on all of my vehicles, definitely worth the modest amount of money it takes to keep all the batteries fresh.
Have you used Noco 1amp there's some pretty scary reviews
Noco is a brand alot of people use. This one is 1amp which is okay but not the fastest. 29$
I'd recommend the 2amp version for about 50$.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W6B987F?ref=emc_p_m_5_i
There are cheaper one's that do the same features but these are good examples.
First things first, let the kid get comfortable at 12v. Next I'd jump to 18v (12v +6v) but before that you need to determine if this has a control board for the lights and sounds. You may need to trace that and make sure it's not also controlling the motors.
If its not controlling the motors you need to isolate that wiring to use a step down (buck Converter) from 24v to 12v so you don't lose functionality of lights and sounds.
If it is controlling the motors. Then it's time to replace it with a 24v board like the weelye Rx30.
Many people like to use drill batteries and if you have Ryobi batteries they are an easy swap as the have a low voltage cutoff built in. Drill battery adapters can be had for about 15$
I got this from Amazon and has been working fine

If you buy a charger make sure it's a 1A changer and not a car battery charger running at the lower setting (2A), I suggest this ond
Battery - http://www.scooterloungeonline.com/product/49-1949%20or%20YTX4L-BS
Battery tender to charge battery - https://www.amazon.com/NOCO-GENIUS1-Fully-Automatic-Temperature-Compensation/dp/B07W46BX31/
Carb - http://www.scooterloungeonline.com/buddy50carburetor
Gas pump - https://www.amazon.com/KATUMO-Gasoline-Diameter-Transfer-Portable/dp/B087WSJPMJ/r
Seafoam - https://www.amazon.com/Sea-Foam-SF-16-2PK-Treatment-Fluid_Ounces/dp/B07DHHSQMS/
Get Gas, premium from a gas station, ethanol free would be the best but otherwise its fine
Get a new battery and the tender, charge that battery, and replace your current battery with this charged one. You can try to charge the old one once this new one is in. Or if you want to be cheap, you can just buy the tender and see if your old one will charge up but it might not and then you have to wait for a new battery.
Carb is probably gunked up, you can clean or just get a new one. Once you get the new one take out the old one from all the hoses and parts on your bike (take a video or pictures to make sure you can put it back right), replace that carb in there.
Gas is bad, buy the pump and then get the old gas out the tank. Get as much out as possible and then use a blow dryer to make sure most of it is out. Put in the new gas with a little seafoam.
Start it up.

NOCO GENIUS1, 1-Amp... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W46BX31?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Every motorcycle owner needs a battery charger of some kind, and a voltmeter of some kind.
Motorcycle batteries are a bit on the delicate side compared to starter batteries for cars. We don't want the weight, so the batteries are just good enough if everything is working perfect.
Yours is almost certainly damaged. How old was it? If you get a smart charger, it might revive. But even if it doesn't, you still need the smart charger for the next battery. The only thing worse than killing one battery, is killing the second one the same way.
If the battery is pretty low, it will have to be plugged in to a battery charger for hours to safely get a full charge. Jump starting from another vehicle uses the power from the good battery to start your motorcycle. But it does very little to charge your battery. So once you take the jumper cables off, you have a motorcycle with a low or almost dead battery, and the bike's charging system desperately trying to charge the dead battery. Even if it can do that, it will take a long time. Like hours, not 5 or 10 minutes.
Without being able to measure your battery's voltage we're all going to be guessing about the health of your battery. If you have or buy a multimeter then we could check some stuff and figure out if your battery is healthy or not.
Not a bad voltmeter for a cheapo harbor freight tool:https://www.harborfreight.com/electrical/electrician-s-tools/multimeters-testers/7-function-digital-multimeter-63759.html
If you aren't driving it for several weeks put the 12v on a trickle charger with AGM support: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W46BX31/
An alternative is leave it in Ready mode for a few hours, but be careful someone doesn't drive it away.

For what it's worth, I have used both Battery Tender brand and Noco brand chargers. I keep one on my Harley and one on my BMW car. I had a Battery Tender go bad on me once, after years of service. It appeared to be working and showed a green charge light but was not charging. The battery (car) went dead and had to be replaced. I reached out to the Battery Tender company but got no response. I replaced that charger with a Noco brand (Amazon buy) and have had excellent service from it. No affiliation.

I like the Noco Genius line. Dead easy, set it and forget it. I went with 1 amp because its cheapest and we charge overnight so time doesn’t matter, but they have 2, 5, and up options as well.
