You mean sanding on the edges? Probably won't need any smoothing. I've only used a shapoko a coupe times. Its not very rigid, but it should leave at least a decent finish on the edges, if you use a good single-flute tool.
But you will need to break the sharp top and bottom corners with a deburring tool (I really like this one ). I mean... I guess you don't need to. But it's good practice.
