The multi-tool version only has plastic holding the particular deburr tool in the deployed position.
So if you are moving fast or removing larger burrs it will pop out of place and fold back at you.
If you're only doing small deburrs or only deburring aluminum the multi-tool is fine, but any steel or larger burrs, individual tools are stronger and make the job easier / faster.
