Pull up the carpet and stick this down. You will have to pull the center console too and insulate around the tunnel. Leave the plugs accessible in case you have to drain after a rain. Night and day difference for me. In the summer I couldn’t sit in the Jeep at a red light for the heat coming up.
I used a box and half of this . I just stuck it on the inside of all the door panels to stop rattles from the bass, but it really sealed the cab and decreased road noise. You can cut with a razor or scissors.
I also used some dynamat on the rear cab wall that I had leftover from another project, this stuff is much easier to work with than the dynamat. I had planned on using both, but ran out of dynamat. Was surprised how well the foam worked by itself.
Also, would I be better off putting the 315 mil directly on top of the 80 mil in the door or should I cover the panel closest to the inside (with the holes) after I screw the wood panels in?

There is a video on youtube of Noico actually doing a small teardown of the car and showing you how to do it. It wasn't hard, I just had to find time in the day, as well as a warm enough day, to install it.
Any brand of Butyl deadener will help, I just chose the Noico because it has the best thickness/cost ratio. Kilmat is another one it offers more square foot coverage but I would prefer to spend a little more money for a thicker mat.
I am not finished yet, I am still wanting to take the seats out and do the floor as well as fender wells inside the car to reduce even more noise! But until I have a whole day to work on it at once I wont be able to do it because you have to tear all the trunk plastics out and I dont want to misplace any bolts 😛
That's awesome. I was thinking about using the 80mil butyl from Noico on as much metal as I could get to and then stuff some of this in the doors: https://www.amazon.com/Noico-Insulation-Self-Adhesive-Deadening-Material/dp/B07QW2RL2Q/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=noico&qid=1601129735&sr=8-4
If I ever get around to it, I might do the front wheel wells with a spray-on like: https://www.secondskinaudio.com/sound-deadening/wheel-well-soundproofing/
I'm probably not going to dick around with the headliner unless someone posts a really clear guide. I can't remember if it was you or somebody else, but someone also doubled up on weatherstripping on the doors and said that also helped.
