I got married at the courthouse and rented the back room of our favorite restaurant to meet up at afterwards with a bunch of family and friends. My wedding ring is just a plain stainless ring that was like $10 on Amazon. It's really up to you how much you want to spend. We're not "poor", we just didn't want to spend money on a wedding and ring and preferred to spend money on our honeymoon and house (we went to Alaska! It was awesome).
