Definitely will cause I really like it thus far, although I'm new to the notebook game!
Got it on Amazon. Here's the link Northbooks Notebook / Journal, 96 Dot Grid Pages, Acid Free Sheets, 5x8 | Made in USA https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013VPDJLW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_xf6RybFKB00GJ
Virtually everyone on Amazon seems to really like it as well. The paper has a nice weight to it and seems to be rather sturdy. It is a little bigger than the edc range, being 5"x8". Despite this, I plan on carrying it around pretty often. Recently I have got into woodworking and wanted paper to have the quad effect so I could more easily create angles, lines, and boxes. The dots make it easier to see a solid line going straight across than normal quad paper does and I enjoy that aspect of it.
The spine of the book while strong, doesn't make the paper have creases, even on the first couple pages. Hopefully this is a sign of good quality.
Overall, I'm happy with my first purchase and thanks for being so welcoming!
A journal with dots!!! I poo-pooed it at first, and started a journal I just had lying around. But, turns out I stink at straight lines, and so everything is off-kilter. lol It doesn’t have to be expensive. Here’s one that’s cheaper. They are a lifesaver to making it look neat.
This looks like a pretty affordable option worth trying out! My main concern is that I'll fill them up quickly since it has less pages than other notebooks I've been checking out (the main one I've been eyeing is this). But I do write tiny so maybe I'll manage the fall semester. I'll consider other suggestions in this thread but out of the three so far I think I'll try this one out first :)
I've used Northbooks (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B013VPDJLW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 with their nice Kraft cover, and Moleskin in various sizes (Costco used to carry them online) which come in various colors including black. I've seen Moleskins most recently at Staples where the stitched ones came in a 3-pack.
I've also tried out various knockoffs of the original Traveler's Notebook in multiple sizes, you can find some lovely ones on Etsy for a reasonable price. Most are definitely feminine (since women buy some high % of the things on Etsy) but you can find solid covers. A lot of fountain pen users also love Traveler's Notebooks, so many sellers use decent paper.
