This is my experience but there's no shortcut. I also do music production. I have to drag my ass to the computer 90% of the time. Once I get going I can usually be somewhat productive. Are you sure it's boredom? Or is it avoidance? Does music production feel stressful at any point?

I've found the largest barrier to getting good is not spending enough time. And when things aren't setup and there's too many steps to get an end result I am more likely to give up. So building a workflow that isn't distracting or frustrating is really important.
