I use two photo organizer boxes. Each box has 16 smaller boxes inside, and I have each small box labeled to correspond to a column in the DMC floss chart. It's super simple to keep everything organized without having to deal with bobbins.
Here's a link to the photo boxes I use if anyone's interested.

I have a clear Photo 4" x 6" Storage Case https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07C8YSWDR/
It holds all cords that aren't used daily (phone chargers that live at their location) and aren't stored with their device (camera charger in the camera bag.)
It's similar to the zip-lock idea, but more ordered. You can label on the spines and pull out a single box.
For smaller games, a common suggestion is one of these 5x7 photo storage boxes. Combine that with an accordion folder of some kind for boards and you could probably bring larger games along, too.

I use one of these put all the free slaps around it lol
This is just a photo storage box, its a suitcase with 16 4×6 inch cases inside. They each can hold 4 meph style bags with a desiccant pack in it.
This is an idea: picture storage boxes... either Google that or this link takes you straight to what they are on Amazon! Many small clear boxes inside a big clear box.
I should have been more clear about the details of what I was/am currently doing with the photos. I'm scanning them little by little with a V600 scanner. Currently i've only put confidence in storing the 4x6 images in this incredible friggin' design of a photo storage container. Other than that, I have used sleeves and backboards for 8x10s, and portraits. Done a little bit of archival photo repair, and am trying my hardest to streamline the process of separating the photos individually from the scans into the raw .tif image files in which they were originally scanned in. 48 bit color and 1200dpi is probably overkill for the 4x6's from Disney in 2002, but I have some really really crazy photos that are printed on some type of tough cardboard/cardstock/backboard type thing. One of them is definitely the uhh.. idk the one with the egg white gelatin. I think the oldest photo I have is from 1865 or so.
I've really just been on reddit while shit scans all day. I'm getting VueScan soon to streamline. Should be better.
Photo storage boxes that hold about 16 or so individual 4x6 cases can work great for consolidating many smaller games into an easily transported package.
Ah, sorry I didn’t know the link in my comment was broken. Here it is.
Fixed the link. Here it is.

I think you had a typo
I think it's this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07C8YSWDR/
Mine is like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07C8YSWDR/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_JR0W38S7BY0G6R28F853?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I just don't use the bigger storage box, but you could
I use one of these boxes to hold all my factions cards, banners, tokens and some of the smaller terrain.

I’m not sure exactly what Dice Tower storage solution you’re talking about, but a common suggestion for small games is to store them in 4x6 photo boxes like this one.
Card games can be consolidated quite easily. Look up “trading card storage boxes” and you’ll find everything from cheap cardboard boxes to nice wooden boxes. I’d recommend something like that. Then you can make custom dividers (or just index cards with the game name written in pen) to put where each game starts.
For other small games—or games with relatively few components—my favorite solution is a 4x6 photo case like this. With some strategic label placement, you’ve got a really nicely organized library of 16 small games in that one box.
If the game has more components and/or you really want to keep the original box, you can cut down the box size. Some people do it to cut down on the height/width of the box like this, while others prefer to make the box more thin like this. It comes down to personal preference and what the game will allow (e.g. because of board size), but either way will save you space.
Also, in case you haven’t already done it, finding a way to get expansions into base game boxes helps a ton.
It's more expensive but still not too bad if you need to store a lot of drives.
Probably is this exact one though : https://www.amazon.com/Novelinks-Transparent-Photo-Keeper-Handle/dp/B07C8YSWDR
