There are already some great book recommendations in the comments, but here’s another: Nowhere Slow by Jonathan Gourlay
The author lived in Pohnpei for 11 years and married a local. It’s beautifully written, and even made me laugh out loud quite a bit. An interesting (and very entertaining) insight into the culture from an outsider’s point of view.
