This is the headset I have. I’m not good with the poles thing but it looks like 3? I might be wrong though. When I plug it directly into the pc it’s loud but through the controller it’s low. On ps4 I used it directly connected to the controller and it was loud.

If you can Amazon, there’s these cheapy headphones I bought for my kids and they’re actually surprisingly pretty good for the price. I’ve owned many headsets and was surprised at these.

In regards to the headphones you mentioned, I personally like those Logitech ones. They’re really comfortable and sit well on my large head.

If you're looking to save even more consider this one. I was cautious because of how cheap it was, but the reviews are good.

Better get a $200 Marshall headset like the one OP was talking about.

A PS4 Slim would be fine. A PS4 Pro is more powerful than you need and probably more expensive.

You need a subscription to PS+ to be able to play online.

Are you interested in other games to play? GTAV has a big world to explore and dick around in. You could even be a passenger while he drives. Similarly, Red Dead Redemption 2 is a big Wild West world to ride horses around.

Diablo III might be the easiest for someone not used to the controls.
