I've heard great things about these anti lick strips http://www.amazon.com/Nurtured-Pets-AntiLick-Strip-Prevent/dp/B001J2AI5A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1433869847&sr=8-1&keywords=anti+lick+strips I would probably put the baby sock on, wrap the top with vet wrap and then wrap one of these around the outside of the sock the that when he does try to rip the sock off, he gets a bad taste.
