Ive had that one for almost 10 years. You can find them for about $40 if you shop around. I havnt had a single issue with mine and i havn't alsways been the nicest to it. I also agree with what has already been said and that you might want to consider geting some testing solution. I keep some around just as backup.
I was having same issue you where having. When i started to grow I picked up the cheapest PH tester they had. Would use tap water for tip never calibrated. My last 2 grows and had tons of nute lock and i go lite on nutes. So I ended up buying Oakton water proof ph meter and 4,7,10 ph test and ph buffer for storing the tip in. What a difference this grow, plants look insane. I know its tough to drop some coin but just think of how much better your plants with doo
