honestly not a big fan of 'gaming chairs'. the best chair I've used is the Oline ErgoPro Ergonomic Office Chair. It's on Amazon with 2 day shipping. This thing is built to last and feels comfortable all day.
It's priced at $260~ but competes with Herman Miller and the big names in terms of quality.
The Oline ErgoPro and for an Amazon chair, it’s super comfortable. I have bad back issues and this chair helps a lot.
I'm a recent college grad and when I was debating between a gaming chair and an office chair, I opted for the office one. I realized gaming chairs while looking cool and being popular in many YouTube videos and other platforms aren't ideal for comfort. They give you a race car like feel, which can feel immersive but office chairs are more ergonomic.
I got myself a nice office chair from Amazon with a headrest and I could sit in that thing all day and feel fine. I had to get a chair with a tall back as it allows me push in my chair and properly rest my back on the chair. .
I've never felt any discomfort really. Having a big desk (63 inch) with a curved ultrawide monitor has helped me avoid needing to turn my head as much and gives me lots of legroom so I my legs don't feel sore. My monitor is also eye level so I don't have to strain my neck. My seat and desk is adjustable so it's all customizable to my liking (I'm 6' 1). I left my set up below.
I would recommend spending some time to do research and create a great office setup. It's worth it. I've learned from others the importance of a good setup. Our job involves sitting for long periods at a time so it's important we take care of our bodies.
