I used to have a centrifugal juicer. I've actually owned several. I've always tried to start juicing but never really got into it. They are difficult to clean, and don't get me good quantites of juice.
Then I got an Omega J8006 I'm so much happier with this one. Easier to clean so I actually use it. The pulp isn't dry but it doesn't feel like I can wring it out with my hands. I've tried redoing it a few times but didn't notice that much more juice coming out to warrant the extra effort and cleanup. (The augur seems hold most of the redone pulp, unless I have something else like a spare carrot to fed it through)
Overall best ~300'ish I've spent on a juicer. Probably spent over 800 on centrifugal juicers trying to find one that was 'good'. Its worth noting I want it for veggies and leafy greens. Juicing an orange, etc is fine in a high speed juicer, but its also fine in my slow speed juicer. This juicer also lives on my counter top. Its not too big that it has to be put elsewhere.
I bought the Omega J8006 masticating juicer for $300 about six months ago after doing a bunch of research and have been very pleased with it. It's heavy duty and can handle anything I throw in it. My only complaint is the container the juice drips into is small and requires frequent emptying if you're making more than one juice.
When doing research on my options, I found Joe Cross' Reboot website to be helpful, as well as the reviews and comparisons on Amazon.
We had the same issue. wife found this. it is really easy to clean.

Omega J8006 masticating juicer
Well, if you have a food processor, you almost don't need a blender. I recently got a masticating juicer and love it to death. I had considered getting a Vita-Mix because it juices and also can make soup (friction from the blades heats the contents and you got soup, son!). I decided to go with the masticating juicer (1.5 million uses) and the food processor I already had. I have a blender, but I barely use it. Some day, I will get that Vita-Mix. If you want the best blender ever with the most functions, the Vita-Mix is the way to go.
Nice I have the same Omega juicer(Great 15 year warranty). And each one of the bowl looks like about enough to make one juice. Thats a nice setup
