Unbiased? For some reason completely uninterested third parties don't seem to be taking a huge interest in collecting data about the wedding industry. However, if you want a source other than a bunch of extravaganza-artists check out the book "One Perfect Day: The Selling of the American Wedding" http://www.amazon.com/One-Perfect-Day-Selling-American/dp/0143113844
