Get a u lock and a cable lock. If you don't lock up all the parts (frame and both wheels), eventually it will probably be stolen. And don't just leave it on an apartment balcony, either. Bike theft is so common I think every cyclist has had at least one stolen at some point. We lock ours up inside our locked garage so they can't just be grabbed and ridden away.
