If this is the kind of thing that often turns up in your D&D campaigns, you should definitely read this book.
Its basically this scenario turned into a terrific D&D-inspired novel.

Orcanomics is great, and I think would be a good fit for what you are looking for - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00O2NDJ2M
I've had a few reviewers compare my stuff to STP, (he is easily my favorite author too) - First book is Level Up - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079JFM67F
I love a lot of the same books that you do (especially Discworld, Andy Weir, and Hitchikers!)
I write very lighthearted stuff that might be something you'd like. It's called the One Up series and contains both Fantasy and Sci-Fi books.
First book is called Level Up - https://mybook.to/LevelUpCA
Another book you might like is Orcanomics by J Pike, which reminds me a lot of Terry Pratchett - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00O2NDJ2M
Orconomics is definitely D&D inspired. The author even refers to himself as a former basement-dwelling fantasy gamer in his bio.

Another suggestion other than the three you listed would be Orconomics, maybe? It is lighthearted and fun, which is what I need after an emotionally charged series.

Also, Going Postal is one of my go-to novels for when I need the book equivalent of delicious comfort food. It is just pure fun.

Highly recommend reading the book ”Orconomics” , especially if you enjoy these types of questions.
So even The Goblin Emperor (great book, btw) is rather unique for trad publishing. It's rare in fantasy for that kind of fantasy of manners to get commercial and critical acclaim. I imagine because it's really hard to do well - if you pull it off it's genius, but a small misstep and it becomes a boring slog. I actually haven't read Becky Chambers, but I believe it's somewhat of a satire / humorous, right? Check out Zach Pike's Orconomics. Brilliant self published fantasy satire, and it has done very well.

A very well-done fantasy book that comes to the attention of the community will sell, even if it's indie and not in the Amazon-hot genres of LitRPG, Reverse Harem, or Cultivation / Progression. The hotter the subgenre, the less polished the book has to be to sell. But the market is vast and all types of readers are on Amazon and buying self-published fantasy books.
That said, if you want to make a living out of this it's obviously better to find a hot subgenre that you can churn out books in quickly. But you can make this business work in other ways, too.
I bought a book called Orconomics off of the $5 Audible sale. Looks like an interesting take on a WOW type World. Haven't listened yet though.

Orconomics is great.
I just finished a book called Orconomics and it was incredible. Also, it's only 3$ on kindle.
Aha, another chance to mention Orconomics by J. Zachary Pike. Freakin' hilarious.
