> I get fucking PISSED.
In the immortal words of Adam Savage... "Well, there's your problem".
In all seriousness though, calm down. It's possible the dog is recalling other instances of you 'getting PISSED', and trying to get away from the situation.
You want a dog that walks in a "heel" position. It's an uphill battle from pulling dog to the "perfect heel". I'm going to suggest two tools that you really should use to train your dog to do this, and one other thing that isn't a tool. First, I'm going to suggest a martingale collar. Properly fitted and placed (just behind the ear, and below the jaw) can seriously help curb pulling behavior. The second thing is an 18" training tab. Basically, it's a really really short leash. The other thing is the treats you use. I'm going to suggest these treats. They drive dogs nuts, and that's a good thing.
Again, relax. It sounds like your dog is walking you. Should be that you're going for a walk, and the dog is coming along. To that end, when the dog starts to pull, stop walking, and stand there like you've taken root. Not one more step. It won't be long before your dog gets the message.
You may run into the dog having eating issues later on. It'll look like they no longer like the food they're getting, and making you feel guilty as hell for it. Then you'll cave in. It happens a lot, don't worry about that.
I'd suggest changing treats to something that's made with human grade foods, but isn't human food. These treats are probably the best in the business, but the cost reflects that. Still, not having a dog that won't eat is worth it.
