They work ok. Its still annoying to line up perfectly and everything but work fine for bright objects. I shot mine all on a Galaxy S4 which doesn't have the greatest camera.
Video of Saturn through my 8" Dob with 24mm and 2x barlow.
Here is a picture I got from stacking from the phone adapter.
