Congratulations on your new puppy and welcome to the addiction! So for your first question I purchased these stainless steel bowls for my pups. If you can purchase an elevated feeder platform that would be good. Stick with stainless steel for both food and water bowls. Bostons have super sensitive skin so that should help with those issues.

For a crate get one that will be big enough for the adult dog to stand up and turn around. There are a ton of options when it comes to kennels so I would suggest looking on amazon for a style you like.
For bedding it will be trial and error. Some pups want to tear up their beds and some don’t. Mine really seem to like the puff beds at the moment but I have used a lot of different types. Bostons are generally cold natured so having a few soft Sherpa blankets for them to snuggle in is always good. Mine live under their blankets all the time. My two bostons sleep in bed with us. When we got our very first Boston 20 years ago we were adamant that she would sleep in her crate. After the first night she slept with us. I couldn’t bear her crying all night.

For toys my advice is always everything. Get toys in different textures and styles. Crinkly toys seem to be a favorite of puppies. You will want to get toys specifically for chewing, for play, for boredom. When I have a puppy I keep a ridiculous amount of different toys everywhere so that when puppy puts their mouth on me for play I swap my body part for a toy. Most puppies are very mouthy by nature and just need to be gently redirected.
When driving home with the pup I strongly suggest bringing a lot of puppy pads, wipes, water, and a few blankets. If the puppy gets car sick during the ride you will be very thankful you brought along cleaning supplies. When we drove home with our pup we also purchased a travel play pen for him to wee when we stopped for fuel. We put wee pads in it and encouraged him to use the potty.

I would not suggest feeding him during the car ride and ask the breeder to make sure he eats a bit before you get there to pick him up. If he does well on the car ride and acts hungry you can always give him a small amount.
Another suggestion would be to start looking for a reputable force free positive reinforcement trainer in your area. A lot of my friends who train are doing video conferencing to continue helping people with training. Going through a training class is a great way to bond with your pup and learn how to understand each other. It can make a world of difference for a dog.
We also have kept pet insurance for every pup and strongly suggest you doing the same unless you are independently wealthy. We have used ASPCA pet insurance for the last 15 years and am extremely happy with their service. When my lab passed away in May they called me to offer grief counseling and their sympathy. It was unexpected but reminded me why I choose them.

Please remember to be patient while going through toilet training as it takes anywhere between 6 to 9 months before a pup is reliably trained. Bostons can sometimes take a bit more time but with consistency and gentle training you can get them weeing outside in no time. When your pup does have incidents in the home use a good biological cleaner to get rid of the urine odor as it will be an attractant for the pup.
Bostons are full of whimsy, love, and joy. I am sure you will be head over heels the minute that sweet pup is placed in your arms. Enjoy every second. Take tons of videos and pictures. Pay for fun family photos. Get smash cake photos at a year old (it is super fun). Take it all in and again welcome to the addiction. There is nothing like the love of a Boston.
I have messy cats and this tilted bowl has helped reduce splatter and mess. It has a very wide mouth and narrow base so the food always slides to the bottom. The tilted back prevents the food from being pushed out the back as well.
