Really briefly there are some tips for pitching that are pretty universal across different radio shows.
You want to be able to sum up your story in 1 to 3 sentences. You want to make sure it's a story and not an anecdote by answering the question "So what?" as in, who cares and why? TAL is all about interesting characters, so you definitely want to make sure you have at least one of those and mention it in your pitch... hope that helps, here's a really good book about making radio that I would recommend as well.
