Very sorry to hear of your family's loss.
It looks like you might actually have some real collectibles in there. First thing's first, you need to get those issued bagged and boarded ASAP to ensure that you don't damage them and to make shipping them to whoever ends up purchasing them easier. Once you've got them all protected and sorted you'll want to start looking at how much each item is worth through a site like GoCollect. GoCollect computes its values by pulling data from recently completed auctions on the internet and should give you a pretty good idea of what your issues are actually worth (you can also check out the most recent version of the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide.
From here the name of the game is to decide which comics are worth getting professionally graded through a service like CGC Comics and which ones are worth just selling as they are. This can be a little tricky, but the general rule of thumb is that if an ungraded comic sells for price X and a graded comic sells for price Y, you should never have it graded if the difference between the two is less than the price of having it graded and paying a site like eBay its cut for listing your item. And honestly, if you're just looking to turn these into cash, your best option may just be to skip the grading all together and copy and paste item descriptions from completed eBay listings for each of the issues you'd like to sell.
