I installed the 12 pack version in my garage. Two rows of six fixtures. Shadows do not exist in there. You can chain up to 8 together per the instructions. I just put in an outlet close by the old light fixture to plug in each series.

I got these linkable lights from Amazon for my 3 car garage. Arranged 2 sets in 4 strips, incredibly bright now in my garage. They are super lightweight, you could arrange them along your rafters
In this photo it’s cheaper LEDS. If money is no object these aren’t really great compared to purpose built led grow lights but they’ll do the trick on a budget and give you a large “footprint” to work with due to sheer volume of lights in the box. I’d never suggest using these for flowering phase of plants but for basic veg state they’re okay.
Even cheap lights will do (the link is for 12, there are way cheaper options).
That said they look pretty happy. If you can add some lights and a fan do so but you’re doing a great job as it stands!
Ty! LED Lights several from this sub used: (Pack of 12) Barrina LED T5 Integrated Single Fixture, 4FT, 2200lm, 6500K (Super Bright White), 20W, Utility Shop Light, Ceiling and Under Cabinet Light, Corded Electric with Built-in ON/Off Switch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F2WMCP2/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_a_ZRG6F3TN6QDSREPVHWB9
Yes but you want it to be timed light, 12 on 12 off, they use light differently but they use it. It gives them a circadian rhythm and they actually do most of their growing at night in the dark period. But they will grow much faster with a 12 12 light schedule in the 6500k spectrum it doesn't need to be a ton of light but a cfl per tup or tube lights work perfect.
I use these tunes lights from amzn

There are sets of them on Amazon for like $80. No reason to spend $20 a strip.

Why yes I do. I peppered my garage with this kit. Fantastic stuff, there's very few areas I gotta pull out my headlamp anymore.

I actually bought two of those 12 packs and have these in several closets around the door edges for wonderful lighting and some accent lighting in my kitchen, and put them vertically in the corners of my home gym. They're just great.
I scorched a bunch to and did some looking. tried some of the grow lights on amazon like the small spider famer ones. But in the end im doing fine with the basic non grow lights, like these, 3 per shelf worked fine.
You really don't need any special lights and most LED or fluorescents will work fine. Here are my various lights - even some old fish tank purples.
I've set up a grow shelf for my wife using 5 of the below:

She's been happy with it so far, and the succulents are doing quite well with them. We run about 12-13 hrs per day.
These ones are from same company and a bit stronger than the above. I'll probably be getting these soon to to set up another area within a month or so.

They are actual led lights, very bright so I dont have they on all that often.
We used these lights for our MG rack (we do three per shelf):

We use the 48x18 rack and it's totally fine for microgreens. I even have flood trays from Botanicare in the same rack. We have 2 shelves of micros and 2 shelves of hydro in our current arrangement.
