You are over watering with water that is likely too high of PH. Your water and soil should have a PH of about 6.5. I assume you are using tap water, which is fine that’s what I use, but your tap water probably has a pretty high PH. Mine has a PH of around 8 so I need to use PH down to adjust it to the proper range.
The thing to remember is, you Technically can’t “over water” it’s really more along the lines of “under oxygen” . So, since you are over watering, you should try drill some more holes at the bottom of your containers to allow for more drainage. And put a rotating fan in your grow area that blows across your plants. That will help provide more oxygen, and dry out your soil.
But the PH is the most important part! Grab one of These PH testing kits from amazon. They are super easy to use and maintain, and it’s only 20 bucks. Once you have some water with the proper PH flush your soil with it. When Flushing just use about 2 cups of water for every cup of soil. Don’t worry about over watering with this as long as you allow it to dry out before watering again.
I can’t really tell without seeing it in person and my screen might change the colour slightly. If you are concerned try one of these Pancellent Water Quality Test Meter TDS PH 2 in 1 Set 0-9990 PPM Measurement Range 1 PPM Resolution 2% Readout Accuracy (Yellow) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B078NJR692/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_IPbHFbKC5ZMDB
Cherry are fairly hardy shrimp just acclimate them slowly and do water changes slowly. Start with a few and see how they get on?
Lmao yupppp I first started out using a Sonkir meter to measure soil pH and was using test strips to balance the water. What a disaster. I was also balancing water BEFORE adding nutes in the very beginning too.

Life got a lot better when I ordered a pH pen. So much easier to use. I fill all my water in 1gal water jugs and it sits in the mouth perfectly so I can let it measure for 30+ seconds and multi-task without holding it. Even came with a TDS meter for $20. I haven't used the TDS yet but I really should start using that making sure I'm not overdoing it on anything.
I would definitely order a digital one.
I just got third one last week: Pancellent Water Quality Test Meter TDS PH 2 in 1 Set 0-9990 PPM Measurement Range 1 PPM Resolution 2% Readout Accuracy (Yellow) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078NJR692/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_m0XdBb3BW8FP7
It only 20 usd and it comes with a ppm meter and both seem to work great they even come with stuff to calibrate with. I’m really kicking myself for not buying one before because I have had bad problems with ph in the past.
Um, wow. Really? Could that really be the issue? That would be good news - an easy fix. Here’s my meter:

I’m not that experienced with hydroponics but I usually keep Ph levels around 5 - 6. Seems like most plants can do well around this level.
I use an PH meter and adjust accordingly with PH UP and DOWN. I adjust the PH after I have mixed the Dry Nutrients Maxigro using a teaspoon per gallon in most cases.(using 2 per gallon can shock the plants too much sometimes)
Also just started using a rooting enhancer RapidStart which after about three days saw massive root gains. If you don’t take my word for it look up some YouTube videos.
I also go around YouTube absorbing info about hydroponics and Growing Answers is a nice one.
I know more information than you probably needed but hey :)...
I don’t believe I have ever experienced PH lockout. I have never seen big deficiencies in my plants...Most of the time if I have problems it’s because I forget to water. :(
