It makes me happy that Dan is friends with Dave Holmes -- he's such a lovely guy. He writes an account of the MTV VJ contest and his interactions with Jesse Camp in his memoir, Party of One. He is also part of the Homophilia podcast, which interviews LGBT celebrities and discusses their personal/love lives. They have some great conversations, if you can get past the frequent Real Housewives talk.
I was going to provide the date and location of Dan and Cody's wedding, and then I realized it hasn't happened yet (as far as I know ... did I miss it?).
"Loud Sneezing Family on Boat" sounds like one of the viral videos they watch in the Community episode "Messianic Myths and Ancient Peoples."
Alas, that story behind the origin of the word "posh" is a myth. Acronyms given as explanations for English words that have been around since before the 20th century are generally false -- fornication under consent of the king is another infamous offender. People have been making acronyms for a very long time, but these were very rarely pronounced as words until the last 100 or so years.
Ugh, Jesse Camp. I really don't enjoy him as a guest, and there's more of him to come. When they mention Dave Holmes, Jesse responds like he hasn't heard Dave's name or thought about him since the day he beat Dave in MTV's Wanna Be a VJ contest 20 years before. This probably isn't what they're referring to, but here's a video of Dave Holmes with Jesse Camp. Dave talks about Jesse in his book. Also, the Brett Kavanaugh joke is in such poor taste. Jesse kind of behaves like society hasn't changed since 1998. Along those lines, little bit of a (white) stretch to credit Dan for Donald Glover's career, and Dan clearly pushing back against that notion.
