they are Patrick Ewing's signature basketball shoe. He played on the Knicks in the 1990's/early 2000's, they were released originally as a high top sneaker but eventually released a low-top version as well.
OP is pretty lucky, since that is also the original colorway they released in. If you (OP) can check the size tag on the inside you can find out the production date.
