EDIT: apparently i dont read closely enough, as /u/dokwilson also mentions the pb2 idea. great minds and all that
So along with cocoa powder. you can look for a product called PB2. it is essentially dehydrated peanut butter. it could help with the texture issue mentioned by /u/anchasta. here is a link to the product on amazon (not a refferal link) for informational purposes. depending on where you live you can probably find it at target, walmart, whole foods or trader joe's etc
they also have a pb/chocolate blend might be worth looking into.
Thicken with defatted peanut butter powder. It has also the good stuff in peanut butter, including the taste, but is not literally 50% fat.
(Name brand is pb2, the chocolate flavor is also rat safe as rats are not sensitive to theobromine)
Thanks! Any specific brand that's recommended? Just did a search on Amazon and found: http://www.amazon.com/Plantation-PB2-Powdered-Premium-Chocolate/dp/B0098WV8F2/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8 which includes one peanut butter and one chocolate. Don't want to by a crap version if there is a recommended branch of PB2 to use.
Have you tried adding some PB2 powdered peanut butter to your shake? I mix a couple tablespoons with Isopure vanilla or cookies and cream and it is delicious! The chocolate PB2 makes it taste like a guilt-free Reese's shake!
Peanut BUTTER is bad, but raw is Ok. small pet journal says that they do have anti nutrients, so don't make them a primary feed.
I used defatten peanut butter powder to give meds to my stubborn baby. It turned into a nice paste.
PB2 is delish and made for this exact thing - https://www.amazon.com/Plantation-PB2-Powdered-Premium-Chocolate/dp/B0098WV8F2/ref=pd_lpo_1?pd_rd_i=B0098WV8F2&psc=1. i add salt and cayenne pepper and dip apples in it. sooooooo good.
There's a chocolate one too :) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0098WV8F2
PB2.
PB2! It's like peanut butter, but without as many carbs/fat.
Have you ever had PB2? and how do you like it when compared to regular Peanut Butter?
