Was in a very similar mental state not too long ago and general situation sounds applicable. FAANG if it matters.
First thing is to identify what is actually causing you to burn out. Resentment is often linked with burn out. Are you feeling over worked and under appreciated, does the work itself feel like you are not gaining skills? Progressing in other ways? Etc.
Burn out is very personal, but I did find this book quite useful for my specific case: https://www.amazon.com/Peak-Performance-Elevate-Burnout-Science/dp/162336793X (Peak Performance). You have to get past some self congratulatory stuff and gimmick references to “new science”, but the general principle is sound - if you don’t rest properly and fully, you never really recover and just keep sliding deeper and deeper into exhaustion. In a way, it’s less about not working (which is somewhat contrary to this sub).
Hope you get to a sustainable place soon!

Highly recommend. Peak performers treat rest time as a key part of their training.
I'm thinking of picking up Peak Performance by Brad Stulberg and Steve Magness and Simple Marathon Training by Jay Johnson.
Has anyone here read them? Are they worth it?
Thanks!
