I took my ~8 year old dog that doesn't like water out for the first time this past Summer. She loved it, but I was happy I had a Lickety Stick treat, instead of normal treats. I could distract her if she got squirrelly, and it's way easier to hold on to and keep track of while out there.
I love the sticks, but I've only been able to find them on Amazon lately: https://www.amazon.com/PetSafe-Lickety-Low-Calorie-Liquid-Chicken/dp/B005CUU25G?th=1
I've heard of several really creative ways for dealing with this issue. I plan to test them out myself this winter as we are moving to Montana in two weeks :)
1) Fill a GoToob (on Amazon) with either wet dog food, peanut butter, cream cheese, etc. Give them a little squirt as needed.
3) Freeze peanut butter on a spoon. We might look ridiculous carrying around a spoon, but whatever ;)
I heard that these are good as well https://www.amazon.com/Petsafe-Lickety-Low-Calorie-Liquid-Treat/dp/B005CUU25G
My pupper loves carrot and jicama. But her favorite is this thing https://www.amazon.com/Petsafe-Lickety-Low-Calorie-Liquid-Treat/dp/B005CUU25G
Premade liquid dog treat is also a thing: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B005CUU25G
Baby food sounds healthier, but that licky stick looks so damn easy.
Have you ever tried to sniff a pet Lickety Stick? If you truly couldn't smell that I'd be impressed, and you could really have some fun with your friends.
