PharMeDoc Pregnancy Pillow, U-Shape Cooling Cover - Dark Grey with Detachable Side - Support for Back, Hips, Legs, Belly for Pregnant Women [link]
Afaik, it's just when it becomes uncomfortable. I find if i'm able to wrap my whole body around the pillow while on my left side, it almost feels like stomach sleeping? I'm a back and stomach sleeper and side sleeping has been fun to get used to. I feel like I don't know how to position my shoulders without them getting sore, but the pillow helps.
This is the one I have. I got the cooling cover and it's quite nice. It's U-shaped, but one of the sides is detachable, and there's a divot for your arm.
This is the one I got pharme doc. It is really good. Yes I use it as a head pillow and body pillow too. I legit been sleeping so much more.
My husband fell asleep on it twice last week for a quick power nap. He woke up 6 hrs later both time going wtf is with that thing is it magic 🤣
I got a U shaped one from Amazon and I'm very happy with it. Though I don't think the detachable arm was necessary. But the cooling cover is great,it's huge (I'm 5'3), I like that I can put it in lots of positions and it's fairly supportive.
Certainly! It was actually one someone else in the group recommended, I just happened to pick the one with the cooling cover and it’s amazing. My last pregnancy pillow had a jersey cover that slept super hot, which sucked for summer. This is the one I got from Amazon.
I actually really like my pregnancy pillow. I got a U shaped pillow because I keep ending up on my back. I tried a normal pillow between my knees but it didn’t keep me on my side. I tried an old body pillow but it was too wide and kept me too far from my husband. It also didn’t keep me from going back to sleeping on my back. I like my U shaped pillow. If I end up on my back it’s usually at a slight incline which I’ve read is better. I can also bend it so that there’s very minimal pressure on my hips which is the only way I can sleep. It’s a pain to have to reposition the pillow every time I roll over but so far it’s my only choice. Obviously, this is specific to me and my hips. My biggest complaint is that the pillow is large and makes cuddling difficult but it’s better than the body pillow. I got this one and hope it supports me as my belly grows [link]
I’m wrapped up in this one right now and really like it. I’m always hot af, and it’s is always cool to the touch. It also has a little dip on the left side for your arm which is great since I’m constantly having to lie down on my left. It’s $40.

Is this the type of pillow you and others have suggested? [link]
I got this one because of the “escape hatch” on one side! PharMeDoc Pregnancy Pillow,... [link]
Sleeping great with it so far and the debilitating hip pain is GONE
This is the one I bought and 💕!
I bought this, and I'm considering keeping it around even after I'm able to sleep on my side again.
I also bought this to keep myself propped up, but I was ready to light it on fire after the first week. It was too dense for my taste.
Beyond that, I really didn't find i needed extra supplies. People seem to post these long prep lists, but it really wasn't necessary in my case.
For the first few days I was eating saltines, and alternated between Gatorade and water. The intubation left me with a dry and scratchy throat, and I couldn't seem to hydrate enough to fix it, so the Gatorade helped to sort of coat my throat.
But by Day 3 I was pretty much back to normal. It was more important to figure out how to find help with the things I couldn't reach or lift.
If they give you narcotic pain medication, ask for dulcolax (or similar) if they don't prescribe it, though the probably will.
