There is a man scaping electric razor that is specifically made for butt hair. It even has an arm that attaches to it so you can reach back there. The teeth are smaller so you can't nick yourself (some electric razors will do that.) it will do a good job on the hair and will not nick or leave stubble (because it doesn't go that close to the skin).

I use one like this when I don't feel like shaving with a razor or don't wanna deal with ingrown hairs. It's safe, easy, slightly less smooth, but you can always do it under the shower.

I imagine it's not as close a shave as if I used a razor, but I've never had to worry too much about cutting myself. It's really easy and quick once you get the hang of it, which is nice especially if you'd keeping smooth on the regular. It just takes some time to perfect the technique.

Bonus tip: Always be sure to remember to exfoliate afterwards with a wet rag or a loofah to prevent yourself from getting ingrown hairs.

I've been using the Bodygroom for years (this version) and it works very well. It leaves the skin smooth and I never get any cut or irritation. Just stretch the skin and move the shaver slowly. It also comes with attachments for trimming and to reach the back.

Got this the other day because I was having the same problem as you. I've only used it once but it seems to do the job very well with minimal irritation. The nice part about it is that it has a shaver that works in part with a foil shaver to get the longer hairs then shorter hairs. It also comes with a few guards, I think #3,5,7, if you want to take it to a certain length.

I just got this and I can thoroughly recommend it. Mine was a little different - had way less attachments - but this is the closest I could find on US Amazon. If you search for this through smile.amazon.com instead, you can get Amazon to donate for you to a trans charity while you're at it. The product is targeted at men™, for sure, but that'll help you out if you're pre-E ATM. Hairs on T are thicker, and this deals with that better, apparently, whereas women's™ shavers deal better with finer hair. (So people say, anyway 🤷‍♀️, don't @ me)

For me, I couldn't get through all my - now fully grown out - body hair in one charge. More my hair's fault than the shaver. I recommend doing a once over with the bare saw blade-y bits - that'll get the worst off and make it more manageable. Recharge, if you need, then do the rest. Or start with just your legs and do them all over, nice and smooth, recharge, then move to another body part. Once you've got the worst off, you can maintain the hair at its lower level much easier.

Look into this, still made from Philips, the downside is you shouldn't use it on your face but it cuts your hair easier and shorter and it's cheaper. There also is a light blue one without the back accessory that goes for cheaper if you don't need it but i cant find it on amazon.com

Here’s a product that might work for you. I use a similar model. You might be able to do better, but this one is a solid choice. Its rechargeable, had an attachment for hard to reach areas, and its pretty hard to cut yourself, even on sensitive and uneven areas.

Anything in the Philips Norelco Bodygroom series WITHOUT the pivoting head.

In my experience the pivoting head does more harm than good.

The 3500 or 3100 would be my recommendation.

Do it slow and dry so you can spread the skin smooth without everything slipping around.
