I use this trimmer for my beard and pubes. It's awesome, it holds a charge forever, the blade is powerful, precise, and crafted in a way that makes it "soft" on the skin. I shave my neck raw with the blade, and it barely reddens the skin, and if I clip my dick with it, it doesn't hurt (as much).

Same issue, take a trimmer first with a more gentle razor attachment and get the hair down to the skin as much as possible. After that, it becomes a piece of cake. Highly recommend doing the trimming outside since it’s going to be a ton of hair. This is what I use. It has a slightly large and more gently head for body stuff: Philips Norelco MG7750/49... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07145GM4B?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I'm a guy who has a short beard and hair (sometimes shaved head often very short) and I have used this baby for years. It's an amazing product and with near daily use I only charge it every 2-3 months

It’s a common myth that shaving increases hair growth, it will just blunt the edges of the hair giving an illusion of thickness. For shaving, my best advice would be to trim any excess hair first. I use the Philips 7000, which can also be used for body hair maintenance.
When I shave, I’ll use either Dollar Shave Club or Harry’s razors and Duke Cannon or Harry’s shaving cream. I shave against the grain and wet the razor with warm water prior to each stroke. I highly recommend Duke Cannon Aftershave for reducing bumps and irritation after your shave. Shaving cream and aftershave will help a ton with reducing irritation and maintaining a smooth face.
Creo q lo mejor es recortar en lugar de rasurar; ojalá usando algo como esto Philips Norelco Multigroomer All-in-One Trimmer Series 7000, 23 Piece Mens Grooming Kit, Trimmer for Beard, Head, Body, and Face, NO BLADE OIL NEEDED, MG7750/49 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07145GM4B/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_KTC8K7XFXVCXRDBTY0J6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I just bought this Philips Norelco beard trimmer and it works awesome. Very lightweight and quiet. You can see that it comes with an overabundance of attachments too. Here: Philips Norelco
I would consider an electric body hair trimmer! I use the Philips 7000 at the 5mm body hair setting to trim and from there I’ll use a handheld razor if I need to shave entirely
Bro, I have a similar, but not terrible, issue.
This is the best clipper I've ever owned. I use it for everything, face, head, and butt (yes, I clean both the butt and clippers before and after).
$44 and I've only charged it once since June.
Shave the head once every few weeks, face occasionally and asshole.....2-3 months.
I actually use a human trimmer. I tried multiple fancy dog clippers even ones that cost 200 bucks, but they all got clogged and would tear more than cut. These are the ones I have been using for about 4 years now:

For nails I use normal pet clippers, then an electric nail file to smooth them out.

I swear by this thing, its fucking amazing, battery is god level i dont think i charged it more than twice since last year and i trim everything with it.
Pros:
Cons:
I bought a $55 electric trimmer and have used it for years.

It's not as close as a blade, but it's fucking close enough and it's a 100 times more convenient.
I probably haven't bought a blade in decades. Once I discovered that electric worked almost as well but was a fuckload cheaper, faster, and easier, there was no going back to shitty, expensive blades.

Get yourself one of these bad boys. Costco usually has them for 35 (or basically the same set, that's where I got mine) smooth, quiet, wireless, and the battery lasts a long time. Tons of accessories so you can do your ears and nose and all that good stuff just by popping the head off. And also has two different size trimmer heads with multiple guards for each for hair and beard trimming. Not sure about the Amazon one, but the one I got even came with a travel case that everything fits nicely into. 10/10 would buy again.
I have a Norelco clipper/trimmer, and I love it. Its the model 7750. That thing is a beastly grooming machine, for all of your body hair. It comes with multiple blades and like 15 blade guards of different sizes. I’d never go back to a disposable or a safety razor as my main grooming tool. Although I do use a safety razor to clean up edges now that I have a beard.
I posted this as a reply to somebody else, but I figure it gets a larger audience here

It really depends on how long of a beard you're going for. Unless you're going for a ZZ Top (or longer) beard, the hair at your neckline will probably be shorter than the hair from your chin. Subsequently, in order to maintain a decent overall appearance, I'd suggest starting the neckline at around 1 to two finger widths above your Adam's apple. If you want to grow out a huge beard, you can then slowly move the neckline down. For the first 6 weeks or so, I'd keep the beard from under your jaw a bit short (make sure you leave enough there so it doesn't look too short, ~6mm is probably about right) - until the hair from and above your jawline covers it, at which point you can keep them at the same level.
Make sure you get a good beard trimmer, you really get what you pay for. I use this and it works amazingly well.
Alright I’ve got experience here. First time I tried I used a razor and I got massive razor burn, had to get some ointment from the doctor (embarrassing). When I tried again I bought the Norelco Body Groomer. The body groom side sucks ass but the foil shaver is great for pubes. It doesn’t stay clean easily but i could get a close shave in like 5-10 minutes twice a week all over (shaft, balls, groin, butt). I wanted something for travel, though, something more compact and versatile. I bought this Norelco Multigroom 7000. I shave the downstairs after I shower a few times a week using the 2mm face stubble guard (the body groom guards aren’t close enough and the 1mm or unguarded takes much more care and you’re liable to cut yourself. I experienced this firsthand during my experimentation period.) I trim the bottom of the shaft near the vein or whatever with the foil shaver attachment. It’s not good for any other pube trimming (too wimpy) but it can clean up the stubble in that zone, where I’m unable to safely maneuver the 2mm guard with any precision. You’ll learn more the more you practice but feel free to message me if you need more advice.

I own this, highly recommend. Pricey, but worth it, given how much I use it.

I love the Philips 7000. It also works great for facial hair, nose hair, and general body hair maintenance.
Phillips makes some really great electric razors, The nifty thing about them is that they come with interchangeable heads so you can use the razor for more then just your groin area, this one is pretty cheap: https://smile.amazon.com/Philips-Norelco-MG7750-49-Rechargeable/dp/B07145GM4B/ref=mp_s_a_1_15?crid=59ZCEWQR8SGQ&keywords=philips+norelco+shavers&qid=1642992436&sprefix=Phillips+%2Caps%2C347&sr=8-15
I had a bad experience with the lawnmower ( it still nicked me with it's anti nick technology).
I use one similar to this one:
Mines a bit cheaper, but gets all my grooming needs taken care of.

For the pubic hair above the penis and scrotum an electric adjustable beard or hair trimmer, similar to this.
And a four to 6 blade razor similar to this. It’s not a perfect system, either. I still occasionally knick the sack. The electric razor helps to avoid razor burn because I could never shave it all off because of the guaranteed razor burn, but the adjustable allows precision to the height of pubic hair north of your penis. There is still an issue of razor burn when I clean up the thighs next to the main bit. Hope it helps.

Thank you for the response!
Is this the one? https://www.amazon.com/Philips-Norelco-MG7750-49-Rechargeable/dp/B07145GM4B
Very reasonable price point (in the US). Are you happy with the results?
Yep! Looks like this is a slightly updated version of the one that I have.
Their actual trimmers. Definitely don’t use it on your balls all Willy nilly though. Just stretch out the skin and get to work
I've had this one for just over a year now and I like it. Comes with every attachment you need, can be rinsed with water though I just brush mine off and it's cordless with a lithium ion battery that lasts a long time. There's also a decent selection of cases made for it that offer better organization than the little pouch they provide.

The obvious answer is to cut it yourself, but the difficulty comes with what type of hair you have. If you are attentive to your barber when he/she/they cut(s) your hair, you can pretty much do it yourself, at least just the sides. The hardest part is just checking the back side of your head. I did my haircut with only one mirror so I did the back blind. My roommate said it looks good so I'm okay with it! Plus there are plenty of great YouTube video tutorials. Good luck brother!
I followed this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ewJDxnYkNU
