I have positional apnea issues and must avoid backsleeping..
This device works fine so far
This is what I use.. my ahi is 104 on my back and 44 on my side.. I use a ResMed AirSense 10 autoset that I bought used for 200 bucks from Craigslist with only 4 hours of use prior. Best personal life choice Ive made . I had extremely low testosterone from sleep apnea and when I started trt from my PCP it really fucked my breathing up worse. Hypopnea breathing and idiopathic cheyne stokes respiratory back sleeping.. csr was genetic.. my brothers have it too.
I've used this for 1.6 years successfully for my back sleeping Cheyne stokes respiratory issues in the supine position.
Works good. Needs to be recharged about once per 2 weeks .
I use this nightly.. works fine .. band only lasted a year before it needs stitches to replace glue.
It tells you amount of time on back spent ignoring alarm also.
I have idiopathic Cheyne-Stokes respiratory only back sleeping. My apap doesn't help.
Good luck
Lol sexy... Life with a good night's sleep is da best ..
Use this for backsleeping issue..
Make sure when side sleeping your not falling off head pillow and chin tucking.. if my head pillow isn't firm and tall enough I fall.. also I can't fetal side sleep with hands inside of knees.. that's a big no no for me.. I have a collar and couldn't hang... I mouth tape too .. use 3m 1 inch .. curl edge for easy removals..
Look up foti prepared paradise brand on Jeff's site. It helps people quit things.
I've used this with great success
Now as for your problem because everyone is different I always had a hard time finding out why I couldn't sleep on my back.. It took me getting an APAP machine and using Oscar to show me what the flags look like and the pattern looks like CSR... I do not have heart failure... This is something you need to check into...
there is also other things that it could be there is nerves in the chest that could be getting compressed when you sleep on your back as well as you could be just doing the classic swallowing your tongue sort of thing...
A machine to sleep with to be able to fix this could be as simple as a CPAP or it could be as hard to treat as an ASV.. mine is like an ASV and I have yet to be able to fall asleep on my back with it.. So I still use an APAP machine to sleep on my side..
because of my condition I am not sure how well an ASV machine will be able to keep my breathing where it needs to be while maintaining my sleep.. the thought of the machine needing to be able to push air into me to jump start my breathing rhythm every breath while I sleep on my back for some reason doesn't seem possible...
How bad was your score when sleeping on your side?
Then you maybe want to try this ..
It's goes on sale for half price regularly..
Wow that is pretty fucking hardcore and I'm sorry to hear that.. I was abused majorly as a child.. both physically and mentally..
This more or less just feels like a strap going underneath your chest area.. it gives you a steady vibrator like pager feeling when you've been on your back longer than a few minutes after you first turn it on.. it kept my CSR issues to complete minimum.. because I can only side sleep in the middle of the night my shoulders are sore and I roll over onto my back.. and after 12 minutes or 15 minutes of my CSR issue it takes over a week for my hematocrit to lower from my asphyxiation..
I have idiopathic CSR and this is what I use ..
I also have a purple 4 for side sleeping
